The thing that sucks is that even if Obama loses, he isn’t going to go away.

Can’t bring myself to click the link but are they already making excuses in case he loses?

This is her bio:
“Meghan’s voice has been heard in commentaries and features on National Public Radio’s Morning Edition, This American Life, and Marketplace. A frequent reader and lecturer at venues around the country, Meghan has taught nonfiction writing at New York University and at California Institute for the Arts, where she was a visiting artist in 2004.”

Yeah, that’s it, all right. Too brainy for the Presidency. WAY too brainy. He needs to be kept far away from the levers of power — he’s way too intelligent for such menial, prosaic labor. Put him back in academia, where his towering intellect can be put to good constructive use.
Out of the White House!! Back to the Academy, I say! Amen and good night.

an Obama brimming with the kind of existential angst and intellectual precocity usually reserved for characters in Woody Allen movies.

Sorry, but I don’t think he’s got the intellectual heft of your average Navy corpsman (or “corpseman”, if you prefer).

The subtle arguments have sounded, to some ears, like hedging. No, the subtle arguments sound like a pseudointellectual who doesn't know what he is talking about but thinks pausing often and saying "uh" a lot make him sound like he is thinking deeply.

I find it hilarious that a journalist is declaring someone intelligent!
How in the hell would she know? To her, a rock is smart.

Maybe MegHAN would prefer Einstein or C.S. Lewis? Nah, she prefers Goebbels....

Umm Barry, I'm sorry—it's not you, it's me. Can we just break up? (Frankly the bare chested sarong thing is a little creepy) I have a job I have to get to. Sure The conversation on T.S. Eliot was nice, personally, I think you missed the whole point of The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, but you've certainly taken the lines:
“And time for yet for a hundred indecisions
And for a hundred visions and revisions.”
to heart. I would say those two stanzas pretty much sum up your first three years in office. Anyway, it's been a slice, but to paraphrase T.S. Eliot: Let us go then you and I, but please let it be our separate ways.

Einstein declined the offer to be the first President of Israel. He was too “cerebral” to be president and he knew it.
The problem with the Presidency is that anyone actually smart enough to do the job, doesn’t want it.

As usual, when libs try to understand the conservative mind they get it wrong.
I don’t think Obama is indecisive. I think he is wrong. Pigheadedly so.

For a man who has claimed to be a Marxist, he has to be very enamoured of that dead political philosophy “communism” . When only the lowest and slowest could believe in the validity of communism, being to intelligent does not enter the conversation. The other end of the spectrum perhaps.

It it would cost about the same as what we would spend. It. Over the course of 10 years it would cost what it would costs us.
All right. Okay. We're going to do it. It would cost us about the same as it would cost for about... hold on one second. I can't hear myself. But I'm glad you're fired up, though. I'm glad. "~Barack Obama
