I’m not saying who you should vote for, but I agree, a write-in does nothing but waste your gas driving to the voting booth. They aren’t even looked at. It may make you feel good, but it is symbolism over substance if your vote doesn’t have electors.
If you are determined to not vote for Obama or Romney, then look down the list.
Heck, no matter how much he has annoyed us at times (all due respect Tom), there is always voting for FR’s own Eternal Vigilance if he gets on the ballot. At least you know you have a vote for someone who meets all the Conservative criteria. (this is not an endorsement).
It is your vote, but the calls for a ‘write in’ campaign do nothing but meet emotional needs for a brief second when you are writing that name. (I’m keeping how I’m going to myself at this point.)
And I still loved your FB dog comment. LOL!
He mentioned several things. A router may have been one.
I'm not tech savvy and didn't understand all the things that he was talking about. And there's nothing wrong with asking him ya know.
The Bible says by your fruits you shall know them. Your celebration of good conservatives getting booted off this site says a lot about you. You and your gang do more harm than good.
The other problem with simply not voting is that you are not supporting the other Republicans on the ticket.
We need to take the House and Senate. Staying home is not an option. If people don’t like the Presidential choices than vote for Daffy Duck.
Good conservatives don't get the boot. But posters that repost lies from other sites do.
And what about once Palin endorses Romney? Then a vote for Palin is either contradicting her own stated wishes, or she’s a CINO and a sellout not worthy of a vote in the first place.
Au contraire. I’ve seen lots of good conservatives get the boot here, not “for posting lies from other sites” - just for posting their opinions. Hope you enjoy your echo chamber.
-- Fulton J. Sheen, 1953 "Moral principles do not depend on a majority vote. Wrong is wrong, even if everybody is wrong. Right is right, even if nobody is right."
I do agree that a vote for a candidate who has not indicated their willingness to stand for election is a wasted vote. Unless there is absolutely no principled choice being offered whatsoever. Then it hardly matters one way or another.
Have a good day.
Yes, DJ has been very patient in her responses.
And altura, you have been a stand up person also.
I think the circular reasoning the echo chamber uses is that by definition, if you get booted you aren’t a “good conservative” - which helps increase the smugness factor in their increasingly small world.
Very sane comments. Thanks.
just for posting their opinions.
You addressed two specific posters being banned. They were not booted for opinion. They posted slander from another site.
As to other Zots, posting history may tell the story. I never assume that I know the reasons for bannings.
“...heres the official position in favor of RC Cola...”
Good points...although I have no idea who the “RC Cola” is that’s favored by the official position of this site.
I am. It is 2012 and not being "tech savvy" is nothing to be proud of.
As I said I have no problem with Jim taking a salary and paying his staff. FR is a full time job and Jim can determine his salary. That is the way business works.
Just don't blink your eyes coyly and tell me that eggs are $200.00 a dozen when we ALL know they aren't.
Or the poster may be a trolling anti-freeper that drank the wrong persons Kool-Aid.
Gibbs headsmack.
“The only constant in life is change...”
True, although in the corporate world I’ve seen it used as cover for countless bad decisions.
