It certainly takes some skill and cunning. Opposable thumbs win, though.

Killing wild hogs down here in Texas is, well, more of sport than for food, and is sanctioned by the state.

Ma’am, far be it from us to tell you to scat... we believe there’s a place for all God’s creatures, right next to the potatoes on the dinner plate. We love them, they’re finger licking good.... I know you mean well, but what are you going to do about the cats and the dogs? They both need meat too and they aren’t nearly as scrupulous as humans are about getting it humanely in the wild. I think if you could ask an animal if it would rather be slaughtered by a human or torn to death by another wild beast, there would be no doubt.

In PA you’re supposed to leave ferral hogs and coyotes where they fall but you are supposed to call the Game Commission and tell them where you shot it.

Ginsburg? LOL The recoil of a BB gun would probably knock her on her butt.

I dont like anyone going out and killing animals for sport.
I can appreciate your aversion to that. Now tell us what you think about the hundreds of thousands of needless deaths of electrons that take place every time you put fingers to keyboard and make a post here on FR or anywhere else for that matter? Is that not horrifying carnage?
Step away from the keyboard, turn the computer off, let those innocent electrons live.

Had an argument about that with my brother. He had trapped to little ones, about 12 lbs or so, and wanted to cut them up for coydog trap bait. I wanted to eat them. He did promise me the next couple of little ones he traps. I love me some tender young piglet.
Apparently, so do the coydogs.
And yes, it's legal to leave them, which I would do with anything over 150lbs. Destructive little buggers.

What else would they do with the animal after they killed it? I dont know anyone who kills for food nowadays. You don't get out much, do you?
Either that, or you live in some large city near the coasts.
Hunting is a human right. I kill for food, and then thank God for the animal's life sustaining mine, as I cut its heart out.
Mmmmmm, tasty.

Scalia and Ginsberg take turns preparing dinner each month for each other and their families. They have for years now. I would love to hear their dinner conversation. They also vacation together with their families.

Most hunters eat what they kill. Many millions of them.

I think that goes beyond cruelty. Hunting with a bow
and arrow is that. The animal does not die immediately.
Imagine how the poor animal feels.

This really could mean nothing substantial.
All that is known is she likes guns. That doesn’t mean she wants everyone ELSE to have one. The only inference is that she wouldn’t mind having one. That doesn’t equate into her wanting the rest of us to have one.
I will give her one kudo for actually going to a range and trying one. Not so much for hunting because if you don’t eat what you hunt I personally believe it’s a waste of God’s animals and their lives.

Modern arrow heads do not just poke a little hole in the quarry. They do what your biscuit cutter does. It’s quick.
