I think this was the most severe he could be charged with.

Who was the absolute ass kissing piece of crap spokesman I saw in TV supposed to be defending him?

I assume he was assigned, rather than selected by Zimmerman?

There is a racially motivated lynch mob out there to get this guy.......

I don’t know that he is innocent, but most importantly the evidence thus far doesn’t put him anywhere near guilty......

he needs to get a good team around him and AGGRESSIVELY defend himself against the race warriors....he needs people out there fighting his corner or he’s finished. He needs this right now.

Folks, the prosecutor is going to dump this on a jury trial.

Let’s look at a few things. One, this is a homicide, with obvious racial implications not lost on the Sanford police department. Thus, they would have knocked on every door in that neighborhood that could even remotely provide evidence or testimony to the event.

I find it particularly impropable that someone came forward a month later with this suddenly damning evidence that makes Zimmerman a liar and a murderer, in spite of what other eyewitnesses have said. That evidence or the presence of a new witness would have been divulged. If it was so chithot, the Sanford police would have gone out and grabbed Zimmerman right after learning of it.

Second, NO ONE is required to allow someone to smash their head in, and it would not matter if Zimmerman ran up and suckerpunched Martin, rather the likely reverse. A punch to the face can and has killed but this is rare occurrence. But you ask any reasonable citizen if they think smashing someone’s noggin into concrete goes beyond mere fisticuffs, they are going to tell you “hells yes.” This constitutes serious physical injury or attempt and therefore falls under use of deadly force. Zimmerman chose not to die that day and is not guilty or murder or manslaughter.

Now ask yourselves as armed citizens. If you had come upon this incident with a larger, younger individual on top of another individual, smashing his head into the ground, while the one the ground is screaming for help, would you shoot to save his life?

I know what I would do.

Remember, the first head smash could be the killer, or the last one could be, or any in between. The point is, you can easily argue that if you had not intervened immediately, the person on the ground could have died.

If I were Zimmerman, I’d change my name to something like, say, ‘Dylan’ and escape to Ireland!

Politics is in complete control of the legal system, but we all know that.
The cowards in government don't want to tell the child like minds of savages they have had enough *rule of law bending* and can't have any more, but we all know that also.
The savages have no other ambition except to continue being a savage, it's easier than honest work to them and they are now fully encourage by the government, again we all know that.
Evil now permeates every aspect of government, ditto on all knowing that.

Enough of my rant/reality check.
Nuff Said.

If only Zimmerman looked like the Son Obama never had, we wouldn't be discussing this here today.

Not a prayer to make Murder 2 stick. She had Manslaughter and now won’t get a thing.

I live in Jacksonville where Ms. Corey hails from, and it seems to me this was simply the least painful/most gutless choice she could make, both in charging GZ and in the charge she went with.

For sake of argument, lets throw out first degree murder. thats so ridiculous even Sharpton probably wouldn’t have expected her to win that one.

If she didn’t charge at all for anything, then there are riots, people die and for the rest of her career, she’s the chick that started the riots. On top of this, the Department of Injustice has already signaled that they will be going towards federal civil rights charges, and Lord knows they will be happy to throw you under the nearest bus if it makes them look better to their base.

If she charged with manslaughter, thats the worst of all worlds. The Trayvon folks are upset because they didn’t get a murder charge. The GZ supporters were upset he was charged at all. Even if you win, you lose.

But, if she goes with the second degree murder charge, she doesn’t draw the ire of the DOJ, and there are no riots for the time being. She’s a republican incumbent in the next election, so all she’d have to worry about on that front is a primary challenger, which would be long odds. If she wins the case, then she says “obviously I made the right call”. If she loses the case, then she can blame prejudice, remain blameless for the riots which will certainly follow, and maybe set herself up as the next Charlie Crist moderate plus likely get a decent book deal.

Unfortunately, CYA and the path of least resistance seems to have won the day. This day anyway.

The War on Neighborhood Watch has begun.

Question: how many of YOU have walked your neighborhood at midnight?
If you live in a “declining” area, it’s a very lonely and thankless feeling. Please be careful how quickly you weigh in on Zimmerman if you have not worked a watch.

Not surprised by this. His cutting off contact with his lawyers didn’t help his case.

Am surprised at the murder charge, though. I thought he would be charged with manslaughter.

Corey said the decision to bring charges was based on the facts and the law, declaring: "We do not prosecute by public pressure or by petition."

What a steaming pile

As far as self-defense goes, I would shoot and take my chances. Even after this case. I’m not on Earth to be a happy victim, regardless of what anyone says.

I wonder if White Hispanics, Whites and Hispanics will gather in groups for the reading of the verdict and cheer if a NOT GUILTY verdict is reached.

I wonder if Blacks will riot if a NOT GUILTY verdict is reached.

America now has show trials?????

So, either Zimmerman is thrown to the wolves or America’s cities are set ablaze by disaffected ‘yutes’.

Great country you had there, back in the day.
