Sometimes, when you're paranoid, they really are against you...
DON'T GIVE UP - We've just hit a rough patch...
Onto Tampa - Hang Tight - We Can Do This!!

Did I just enter the twilight zone, or is this really the world where most of the key positions in state party offices are filled by the presidential nominee, and tend to be populated from their election committees? Because last time I checked, that's how this world works.
Now, if you're going to tell me some fantasy of McCain fanatics doing the slightest thing to help Newt, I'd say you're off your rocker. And of course they're for Romney - a fair number of them were his people to begin with, before they got sent to McCain. As for Santorium - of course they don't care if he gets the nomination or not - he's earned every RINO chop there is, including his magnificent ‘bipartisanship’ and losing his seat to a Democrat.
As far as I am concerned, the only ‘conservative’ in the race is Newt, and he's got some issues of his own.

Started with mind control over the other candidates and voters. 60% wanted to vote for Bachman. Maybe it was the unusual plant pods dropped off at conservatives’ gardens. /s
These candidates, including Romney, and their supporters are playing right into Obama’s hands.
Everyone before country, divide and conquer. Exactly what the left wants.

an allegation that the RNC rejects but is taking very seriously.
Even when Mitt's own supporters make the claim.
The Michigan Republican Party (MRP) Credentials Committee voted 4-2 last night to give Mitt Romney both of the state's at-large delegates, State Policy Committee Chair Mike Cox told MIRS today.
Cox was one of two "no" votes on the committee which met via telephone, along with attorney Eric Doster The "yes" votes included GOP National Committeeman Saul Anuzis, a Romney supporter, and MRP Chair Bobby Schostak.
That would put the delegate split at 16 for Romney and 14 for Rick Santorum, after each candidate won 14 delegates apiece in those divided by Michigan's 14 congressional districts.
As MIRS first reported on Wednesday, the MRP was delaying a final decision on the delegate split until after consulting with attorneys.
Cox said that according to the MRP rules, Santorum and Romney should each get one of Michigan's two at-large delegates based on their take of the popular vote.
"I supported Mitt, but the vote was clearly wrong," Cox said of the Credentials Committee. "It's kind of like Third World voting. We published rules and then we voted to change the rules."

The RNC has been in this zone for over 6 months now, they should be the ones who are nervous.

TOP GOP Official: We Do Not Consider Perry a Factor
We Know Who it is Who Will be Our Nominee
Posted by Jim Hoft on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, 4:54 AM
Those words were spoken today by Georgette Mosbacher, RNC Finance Co-Chair and huge GOP fundraiser, after Chris Christies announcement. The we is all the big bundlers, fundraisers, and money folks who have been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the field to be set and that quote represents the coalescing around Mitt Romney that is expected to happen rather quickly now. Mosbacher went on to say:
I think tomorrow, well be contacting one another and probably put something together with Romney
And I would say that the race is now Romney and Obama. Quite frankly, the enthusiasm wasnt there at the outset. Hes less conservative than a lot of us would like. However, our first and foremost goal is to defeat Obama. And we do believe Romney, in terms of independents, will be a strong candidate. We will coalesce behind him now
the time has come to get behind him
Tomorrow Ill be on the phone all day. Quite frankly, itll be easier, because now we know who it is who will be our nominee. So we will pull our Rolodexes out and get to work.

I have seen this posted a couple times, don't know if it was you or not posting, but this time I checked out the link, and all I can say is politics as usual, why things are the way they are, why the fight is so difficult.
and you're right, they remind of democrats, Texas dems, to be specific..
Thanks for posting this...

Yep, figured that out just as soon as Santorium stayed in. And so it goes, only this time, I'm not doing the old pinch the nose routine. The GOP, if it wants my vote, can pull up a real conservative to be the candidate, or they can kiss goodbye my vote.

The GOP, if it wants my vote, can pull up a real conservative to be the candidate, or they can kiss goodbye my vote. I'll still vote, I just won't waste it on a liberal hack socialist named Romney or a Marxist liberal hack named 0bama.
