>>Republican Congressman (and Senate hopeful) Jeff Flake
Another Republican, spineless, tower of jelly.
The Republican Party sure seems to have an endless supply of these losers.<<
IF the Republican Party VOTERS would get off their dead butts to prod, poke and downright threaten their legislative representatives into fighting for Conservative principles perhaps we might see some results. Instead the Republican Party bemoans the tea Party when they won’t fall in line with their wishes.
I am in constant contact with my state senator and my national senator. We know each other by our first names and no we are not the best of friends. My goals are quite different than the national Republican Party goals and the reps are well aware of that fact.
They know I don’t have any problem holding block parties during the summer months and prior to elections where I educate my neighbors on what’s happening in DC and Carson City. I’m retired and have the time to do these things. Plus I am not afraid of anyone with an official title. I consider titles as part of their pay rate.
You can’t sit on your butts watching football and expect the reps to do what you want and don’t want if you have never told them face to face just what that may be. Make them earn your vote!
Yeah, I hear ya. But sometimes things are not so easy
My home is in the Bronx, NY. You probably could not find a bluer spot in the country. The Bronx is blue, NYC is blue and so is NY State. Here, the Republican Party is a joke. Oh, they exist on paper, but that is about it. You should see our ballots. It is not uncommon, or should I say it is common to find the same name occupying the ballot on the Democrat line as well as the Republican line. The Republicans are in complete cahoots with the Democrats and that is why NY State is a corrupt cesspool. I am sure you are aware of this.
I have called and written Senators and Congressmen from other states at crucial points, but many times you are greeted and then asked for your zipcode. And if you are not from their district, it's Sayonara.
If every Republican were to get off his dead butt, get off the couch, turn off the cable, and actually dare to leave the trailer park for a few moments to vote, just as if he were going to Wal-Mart, we might get near 50%+ of the vote in a lot of states. Just not the big ones.
The Republicans are the minority party. The reason our "candidates," and I use that term advisedly, run such mealy-mouthed, nonsensical campaigns is that they are trying to lure the mythical "independent voter," not the depends-wearing crowd that will vote for them anyway.
We are in a period of crisis. The Republican Party is dead, and has not yet lain its sorry ass down. There is nothing to replace it. It struggles on merely to assure that its major contributors will have a place on the Titanic lifeboats and that their perks and pork are safe. The GOP does not particularly want the WH in this next election. They want to keep the House and increase their power in the Senate. Why? Better place at the card table.
Can no American voter figure out that these Republican representatives arrive as paupers in DC, and 2 or three terms later, leave as multi-millionaires? Fight the Democrats? Are you mad? They are the ones giving out the money! The House and Senate are vast insider trading schemes, not constitutionally governing bodies.
In re The Mombasa MF...
Honi soit qui mal y pense, mon ami.
Just FYI:
MF = "My Friend." (In case any MF's ask.)
I reregistered as an Independent on 02. I didn’t have any hope the Republicans would return to small government ways. I was right. The collusion going on between the parties in DC and the capital cities is because we are headed straight for the One World government that all the leaders have been talking (out loud) about for the past 20 years.

I feel it is too abrupt. How about the
Cowardly Stupid Party.
as an interim name?
You know, kinda get'em used to it?
GOP = Grovelling Obama Party
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the Republican party by assuring that all safe seats are kept, but that no actual majority ensues. Remember men, our mission is to have a good seat at the table where the swag is divided up by the Democrats, not to have the responsibility ... and hence any blame ... for running the country according to the Constitution.
The Golden Rule: "Do Not Screw Up a Free Lunch!"
How true.
Bump!

Man, did you ever nail it down cold!! Alas, this is what it
has come to, verbatim!
Too masculine.
