Trayvon bought that jewelry at Freddie’s Fashion Mart.

Lest anyone think this particular portrayal of this "kid" is out of the ordinary, I recall the case of 16 year old Julius Johnson from Reading, PA, who was shot and killed on January 25, 2012 as he and two of friends attempted to mug a 65 year old man on a bike path, knocking him off of his bike and pinning him against a fence. This was the second mugging of the day by these three, as they had mugged two people earlier in the day in another part of town.

From the Reading Eagle:
The three were playing video games at Johnson's residence in the 200 block of Gerry Street when juvenile probation officers went there Wednesday morning to check on Johnson after his mother reported that her son was not in school.

Johnson was on probation for aggravated assault. He was participating in a weekend program at the county youth center that has juvenile offenders go into the outdoors and perform community service.

The probation officers ordered Johnson to remain home on electronic monitoring and told the other two, who had no juvenile records, to leave.

The trio left immediately after the officers left and assaulted and robbed two men in West Reading before heading to the trail, where they assaulted the 65-year-old.

Adams ruled the shooting justified because the man could not flee and thought his life was in danger.

Here are the pictures that the public saw on this predatory juvenile

And here is the way they described him:

Julius Johnson, 16 years old
September 19, 1995 ~ January 25, 2012
Thun Trail, Cumru Township shooting
Julius was a student at Reading Senior High School; where he was an active member of the Wrestling team.
He had a love for fashionable clothing and shoes; he had a style that was all his own.
He enjoyed listening to his favorite rap artists; playing Play Station or hanging out with his friends, and having A Good Time and while being happy with his Family.
He will be remembered for his picture-perfect smile; his vibrant personality, his swagg; the enjoyment he received in experiences offered when he attended the Holy Trinity Church, the Olivets Boys Club and the community Y.E.S program.

Not a word about his propensity for assaulting people and robbing them. I see a LOT of similarities here with the way Trayvon Martin is being portrayed by the media and the race hustlers. It is unfortunate that young people lose their lives, but when they buy into the thug culture, a young death is at the end of many of those paths. In the Julius Johnson case and the Trayvon Martin case, it happened before they could kill someone else.

At least that will be true in the Trayvon Martin case if no deaths resulting from violent protests in the aftermath, and that remains to be seen.

Apparently, suspension from school works in Florida the same way it does in Texas. Martin got a HUGE 10-day suspension as the suspension penalty increased for each earlier suspension. The difference is that he’d likely have been placed on a special campus where he wouldn’t have been missing 10 days of education (or at least the opportunity for education).

His parents neglected to bring Trayvon up the way they should have, and now they want to cry about his reputation. Given the big picture, it’s not surprising to me that Trayvon had some experience in being suddenly and extremely aggressive, as demonstrated in his fight with Zimmerman.

I still say that had Zimmerman remained in his truck, as he should have, none of this would have happened.
