While I don’t disagree in any way what you posted, we’re all Americans, (as should be) my point was simply that this guy is all of the sudden considered “white”....for political, agitation reasons.

If you want to see white hispanics, Spain is the place to go. Whites abound who are solely hispanic in ever form of culture. Hispanic has never been limited to the mestizo’s we think of when we think of Mexico.

If you ever travel to Spain, I’d strongly advise against call the natives “Hispanics”. They don’t take kindly to that. A friend of mine travelled to Spain and was set straight rather quickly when he used the term “Hispanic”. His Spanish friend said,”We are not Hispanics. We are Spaniards and Europeans. Hispanics are the people in the Americas; Central and South, having some Spaniard or Portguese or even some Italian blood but are mixed with the Native Indians and or black slaves.”

I once worked with a gal from the Dominican Republic. She was stunningly beautiful and her father was an MD and her mother a college professor back in the DR. She absolutely hated the Hatians BTW and considered herself White or what she called a “High Hispanic”, meaning of mostly Spanish ancestry. And she was married to a blonde haired blue eyed Norwegian.

You never fire warning shots or shoot to wound. Any one with any self defense traing knows this. At this time the only evidence released shows that Zimmerman was returning to his vehicle and then the 911 call from “John” stating that Martin was on top of Zimmerman beating him and Zimmerman was calling for help. This is consistent with the physical evidence, Zimmerman’s injuries and his statement. If Martin did attack Zimmerman as he stated then this is a clear cut case of self defense.
I don’t know the law in FL but in PA SYG law means that you have the right to use deadly force to protect yourself or another from the threat of grave bodily injury or death anywhere you have a legal right to be.

Again, no one should make any implied statements until the investigation is over. You are making statements based on incomplete reporting that he should of fired warning shots... yet I’ve seen reports that indicate Zimmerman was walking back to his vehicle when Martin came back and attacked him... there was even a 911 witness who reported that Martin was on top of him beating him... another report indicates that there was a struggle for control of his gun... so at which point do you fire warning shots?

The situation is fairly fubar’d and disappointing... but it is what it is and the police and DA will investigate it... unfortunately, if it turns out that Zimmerman’s account is accurate and he is not charged then the rest of the folks who have already tried and convicted him will want blood... If it turns out that he did something wrong then I’m confident that the local system will handle it.

The pic on that twitter page looks more like Martin that any of the other bunk ones, but it is posted in several place with one I know came from a Trayvon Martin of Savannah GA...a middle schooler.

Which one's which? Martin's deleted page also uses a thumbnail of the dart board picture to identify him. I had been questioning that picture's provenance. Now I no longer do.

That Martin has lots of recent friends from all over the country (same may even attend the HS in Miami). These folks are mistakenly thinking they are friending the deceased.

You have a gift for understatement.

However, the Google cache I found is dated 6 February, and Martin didn't get shot until 26 February. And he didn't get famous until sometime after that. So, I think it's safe to conclude EatYhurBrainz was a real-life friend of Martin's and not one of his many posthumous friends.

Well, now the NY Slimes is dividing Hispanics into shades of color. I guess they are implying the white Hispanics are racist, vs. the brown or black Hispanics, who are not.

Skin color is apparently very, very important to the Times. Way more important than the circumstances of the shooting.

"Hispanic" means related to Spain anywhere except in the PC USA....hence "Hispanola" for an island discovered by a Spanish funded expedition.
Back in the dark ages, when I went to school, "Latin America" started just south of Cal/Az/NM & Texas...hence "Latino" would be apt since there is no state of Latin to insult with the title.

To USAF: I couldn't get the links to come across but there were cases in 2004 and 2009 (or thereabouts) where children of white immigrants from Africa were booted from school, fired, and otherwise beat-up on for using the term African American. I don't know the final results of legal actions etc. But you sure don't hear about them nowadays.
