Obama should be thanking Romney voters who were stupid to follow the script laid out by the leftists a year ago. Liberal Romney was the designated loser because his record is so awful, he is a flip flopper on every issue, he is a total fraud.
The GOP voters played right into their hands.
I’ll write in Palin if Mittens gets the pubby nod. Mittens v. 0bummer is pretty much the end. If we’ve sunk that low, we might as well get to fighting so we can concentrate on getting back on track. Time to push the reset button.
If it's Romney vs Obama (God forbid), I'd ALSO cast a vote for someone obscure in the Presidential election. If if comes to that, I hope you will do the same -- so that your vote is is numbered and calculated in figuring the percentage of vote the eventual winner, Romney or Obama.
It's important to note when a candidate wins with, say, 41 percent of the total vote, as opposed to 50 percent. Those who deplore both Romney and Obama but who don't vote, even for an obscure Pat Paulson candidate (is Christopher Walken running again? I'd vote for him!), would contribute to making the winner look "stronger" in terms of percentage of votes. That's important. Clinton had only 42 percent of the vote, and look what happened to his Congress.
With Romney, good, moral people would find themselves voting for a person who has been the agent of government-forced immorality that Americans are sick of, such as requiring taxpayers to fund minor operations such as $50 abortions on demand, and such as issuing a Governor's proclamation "celebrating" Gay Youth Pride and endorsing a homosexual group whose "outreach" extends to middle schools -- 12-year-olds.
Good faithful Americans would reluctantly but fearfully vote for a politician they know has used his office to promote moral depravity that, left to its own, would wither post-haste if government and its activist judges weren't protecting it by punishing those who want to reject it in their midst so they can live morally.
Romney has demonstrated contempt for simple Christian morality by using GOVERNMENT to enforce its own "morality" -- that it's somehow immoral to reject and shun open homosexuality in our lives, our workplaces, our schools, our businesses, our military. That it's somehow immoral to deny a poor, desperate young woman an abortion that costs less than a minor cosmetic procedure.
Evil begets evil. Romney is worse than Obama because the people voting for him should know better. The way I see it, God comes before country, and if being "sensible" requires voting for evil, then I'll remember Who we really have to answer to. People would vote for that, and then have the gall to ask Him to bless America?
Frankly, I think God would look more kindly on a nation that braved the consequences and refused to vote for evil, and if Obama won, I believe God would come to our aid in His way. If we elected Romney with our eyes wide open like they are ...
I think God might have an issue with that.
If, God forbid (and I pray daily that God vanquishes Romney and Obama) Romney won, I will at least have cast a vote such that whatever percentage of American voters supposedly "supported" him, was as tiny as possible. I hope all of us who reject Romney do the same.
Godspeed Newt Gingrich.
“I am NOT a Republican. I will vote for a conservative whatever the party.”
Amen.
Since Romney is way the H to the left of the middle, moving to the middle might help him because he would be moving to the right.
The silent majority is stockpiling for the future.
Please! Please! please! A very big shout out to the conservative party and to the constitution party, Don’t even ask her just put Sarah Palin on the ballot for your party. That would greatly increase turnout, decrease Romney’s vote count and make the Democrat’s vote fraud more difficult. Considering the strength of those currently running, Palin should be a shoe in.
I rarely disagree with Rush, but this is one of those times. I DO NOT see ANY passion for freedom, for liberty, for the Constitution or for the sacrifices of our ancestors.
What I continually encounter, including here at FR, is people who could care less about freedom as long as they don't miss the current episode of American Idol or Survivor. I hope that Rush will prove me wrong but, so far, I'm not seeing it!
I agree 100 percent. That is why I will soon be a member of the Constitution Party.
“This is the kind of story that’s going to cause an eruption in the silent majority.”
Only if they find out about it. You can count on the MSM to keep it out of print.
you can also piss into the wind, though that usually takes care of one problem whle creating another...
I'd prefer a strong conservative ended up being the repub nominee, but in all honesty, I want anyone other than Obama to win. I also think that anyone who pisses away their vote as part of some kind of holier than thou protest vote is an idiot.
The fact of the matter is that we need to accmoplish the following priorities:
1 - Maintan control of the House. This is the last line of defense. No matter what else happens, having conservatives in control of the House is critical. They need to be ready to lose their next election to stand up for what is good for our nation if Obama wins in 2012. They are the ones that have to hold the line no matter what.
2 - Win control of the Senate. With the House held and the Senate in repbulican hands the debates can be set. 60 votes would be great, but having an R in place of Harry regardless of their rules is a win. It also gives conservatives a way to put their ideas out even if the dems in the Senate block.
3 - Win the WHite House. Even with a slim majority in the Senate, or no majority, and maintaining a majorityin the House, holding the White House creates will create options. They might not all be easy, but at least we will have options.
When you think about voting third party or writing in, make sure you DVR Obama's victory speech. I have no clue in the world how that would make a conservative feel like they accomplished something...
Take care.
The bipartisan, socialist political class is deluded. That’s good.
I'm done voting for "the lesser of two evils".
I'm not going to vote for someone driving us towards the cliff at 80 mph just because the other guy is driving us towards the cliff at 100 mph.
