In April 2008, she became the first recipient of the Soledad O’Brien Freedom’s Voice Award, an award created in her name by Morehouse School of Medicine. "The award was created to recognize her accomplishments and willingness to be a voice for the voiceless in our society, and her determination to cover stories that might otherwise go untold. It will be given annually to mid-career professionals who serve as catalysts for social change in their given fields."

O'Brien drew criticism from FactCheck.org on September 8, 2008, for falsely asserting, during an interview with a McCain campaign spokesperson, that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, as Governor of Alaska, had slashed the special education budget by 62%,[14][15] when, in fact, she had increased it. O'Brien was also criticized for these claims by other sources, including the McCain/Palin campaign.

"Soledad O'Brien lost control of her show."

I disagree with the characterization that she "lost" control of her show. She "abdicated" control of her show. She turned into an incoherent raving lunatic, causing her to forfeit control of her show.

I'll have to admit, though, that I have never seen her show before. Thus, I cannot ascertain that she might ALWAYS be an incoherent raving lunatic.

Despite Ms. O'Brien's assertion that Critical Race Theory rejects white supremacy, here's what another "esteemed" Harvard professor, Cornel West, wrote in the introduction to Critical Race Theory: Key Writings That Formed the Movement (1995):

“This comprehensive movement in thought and life – created primarily, though not exclusively, by progressive intellectuals of color – compels us to confront critically the most explosive issue in American civilization: the historical centrality and complicity of law in upholding white supremacy…

Also, actor Jay Thomas' pathetic accusations of white racism didn't trouble Joel Pollak; Mr. Pollak's wife is black. She’s from South Africa and her mother was a political appointee of none other than Nelson Mandela.

Some racist.

This explains why she didn't see a problem with Bell's racist hatred. She's one with it..

We're charmed CNN - maybe this kind of stuff is why few citizens trust CNN...

O’Brien is an anti-white bigot.
