I never understood the Huckabee thing since he had set in liberal policies. I think Huck really has shown his true colors this year (supporting Mitt), to those who trusted him. Last election, I was so out of it until Palin was added to the ticket. This time, the McCain candidate, set forth Romneycare; making huge problems for many. I think we have to keep Newt in this game. I don’t see Rick standing up to Obama while the media makes this election about his strict social views. I worry that people are becoming tired; will accept ABO; don’t know if people really want a fight for reforms or if it’s all talk or all about moral issues. Prayers for Newt. (God Bless South Carolina)

Thanks! He made a beeline over to my son (in the wheelchair) to say hello. He then asked if we wanted a family picture which, of course, we said yes! I told him that we were a homeschooling family that is supporting him, working for him. We are going to be volunteering at a rally in Gainesville, GA on Wednesday night.

As for his speech today, he spoke at our old church. It was not your typical campaign speech because he gave it in the pulpit of a church on a Sunday morning! He started out by saying that he is not a preacher and he is not a perfect man. He stated that he has fallen short of the glory of God but that he has sought forgiveness and reconciliation. He then went on to speak about the Christian heritage of our country and how it has been so twisted and maligned by the left. He spoke about how he was enjoying private life, learning to play golf (badly but enthusisically) when the 9th Circuit decision on “Under God” happened. That was what propelled him back into public life.

It was an awesome speech, the place was packed. Lots of cheering and standing ovations. :)

No, we didn’t do that one :)
I don’t know who had that but it was parked by the vehicle that Newt was traveling in so he got to see it!

I’m still behind Newt (although I’ve heard and read some things recently that give me pause). I support strategically voting for Santorum in Michigan (although some of his past votes, and ideas for the future are troublesome). I don’t think Santorum has a prayer of beating Obama (it’ll be Satan and birth control 24/7 from the Obamamedia). Romney would be an absolute disaster. I’m sick and tired of picking between big government, bigger government and biggest government. That’s how I feel right now.

Are you talking about limits to campaign contributions? You can still contribute to Newt’s SuperPAC if you’ve maxed out to Newt. Good luck matching Sheldon Adelson’s contributions. ;)

You are circling again. Let me be blunt. Santorum has neither the brains nor the foresight, nor the slightest inclination to even venture an allignment with Newt, as you suggest, who for his part has been generous with Rick during his numerous Bachman immitations, and quite willing for weeks, if you have read the signals to any degree to allign on approaches to Romney.

Translation: Rick, you will find, is too $##! small. More thumping will be needed.

..and hopefully into the White House.

Only Newt has the humility to see the Presidency as a 'loan' from We, the People.

No, I’m talking about restrictions on working in Party politics. I work for a federal agency, and the Hatch Act limits our participation.

The picture was gone by the time I got back. BUT certainly appreciate the on the ground support. Will the people there spread the word? Is GA an open primary? Do you choose your party affiliation right before you vote or are you locked into one?

I appreciate that you, too, recognize the quality of Humility in Newt. I couldn’t help but draw the contrast between him and the attitude Rick so blatantly illustrated by his self description, “Courage”. Sadly, he doesn’t even realize how grossly inappropriate it was for him to describe himself as such.

Newt has a deep and abiding respect for this country that is written on his heart.
