“The poll isn’t accounting for the fact that many voters do not yet know who Santorum is.”

Nicely put, but these polls are ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS. Reagan was getting his ass whipped (a little Jimmy Carter lingo) all through 1980...right up to one week before the election. As you allude to, no one is even focusing on November now. All they see is a bunch of IDIOT Republicans that are allowing the media to make spectacles of them in debates.

The only candidates on the Virginia primary are Romney and Paul. All others had registration issues. I don't think Va allows write-ins.

Looks like Virginia is too... hate a white Christian more than a radical muslim marxist. Santorum ain't Reagan... could not tie his shoes... but obama is an evil doer of the tenth magnitude. Maybe the news that Virginia was returning to sanity was all just a fairy tale.

VA will be difficult for Rick to win. He would gain strong support from evangelicals and most Conservatives; however, he will be up against the densely populated, heavily Dem suburbs of D.C. Those folks will be voting to keep their federal jobs. Added to those factors are the potential problems Rick’s position on abortion and contraception may create w/many female voters.

(I realize there is at least one poll indicating Rick would do well w/Republican women voters; however, I am not yet convinced that poll is accurate; nor do I believe it is indicative of how the abortion/contraception issues might energize Independent and Dem women to vote against Rick.)

This is not good at all. What the heck is wrong with the people in Virginia? Wonder how Newt polls against him in that state.

he has to run those prices up now so when his buddies dump oil on the Fall market and it drops back to $3.50 he’ll look like a hero.

Exactly right. We need to fight him on everything, not just count on gas prices. High gas prices are bad for everyone.
