It is one thing to talk about good and evil, but that is not what Santorum was talking about. He said Satan has infiltrated the mainline protestant churches. That just sounds like tinfoil hat stuff.

What a freaking joke. This election WAS the Republicans to lose - and that is exactly what they are do.

The odds continue to increase that Obama will once again win another four years. God help this country.

No, it isn’t “tinfoil hat stuff”. When I was born in ‘56, mainline churches thrived. Catholic churches were overflowing. But, on one social issue after another, some Catholics and most mainline churches caved. Whether it was affirmative action, welfare, high taxes, abortion, homosexual relationships, liberals within these churches were huffing and puffing to keep up with each new societal trend.
Schisms developed over each issue when church elders favored government solutions over individual ones. Today, it sickens the heart to find so many beautiful edifices to Christ closed or demolished. More tragic is what has occurred within the human hearts responsible for the collapse. Bob

He said Satan has infiltrated the mainline protestant churches.

This protestant happens to agree with him. My grandmother left her longtime Methodist church when the pastor tossed the bible on the floor during a sermon and declared it irrelevant in today's world. She gave it a chance thinking the pastor was trying to teach a lesson that she didn't understand but after a few Sundays it became apparent that it was a permanent thing.

There were other issues as well, such as the utter lack of respect they displayed toward elder members who they felt were holding them back from doing "good works" like planting trees and refusing to fund solar panels for the roof. They felt that food drives for the poor interfered with state run welfare programs.

Its obviously not true of all churches but secular humanism has infected a great many.

Excellent response, if tragic in its truth.

I don’t agree. With Rick as our unapologetic nominee, Obama and his Marxist policies will be the focus of his campaign every day. Believe me, this is ALL they have against Rick, and people will quickly become bored with this type of side issue. Bob

Jesus said that Satan would infiltrate the Church in the Latter Days and that false teachers would be numerous. Like Rick Warren and Joel Osteen.

Liberal/progressive/leftist/marxist fools shall laugh at folks like Santorum and their correct identification of evil...but they shall mourn.

Rick is spot on. Evil is targeting America...it has since the founding because of whta its pricniples represetn and what they are based on.

That evil has taken root deeply in the progressive/liberal/leftist/marxist movement that is trying to destroy America.

Just look at what they openly stand for.

Killing unborn children, right up to the moment they would otherwise be delivered...and killing them in the most gruesome, bloody, awful manner imaginable and with no pain medications.

Perverse life styles and living arrangements, and attempting to make them accepted in law as marriage, when they are not in the least that, and when all statistics point to those lifestyles being absolutely unwholesome and dangerous to the physical and mental health of anyone participating in them.

Making people absolutely dependent on them for almost everything from cradle to grave...noot in an attempt to help those people, because the statistics again point to the rampant crime, destruction of the family, health issues, illiteracy and lack of education and unemployment rampant in all such communities and grous that become attached to it. They do it simply toi garner votes, while locking people into a very destructive life.

Tax cheats being placed in charge of the revenue and taxing arm of our government.

Not drilling for or exploiting America’s rich energy reserves and resources because a President wants to “punish” the American people and their freedoms and life styles.

Complaining and name calling Americans because they hold their 2nd amendment rights and religious rights sacrosanct as the unalienable rights they are.

Pervertss and anti-Americans being placed in charge of critical agencies in the land, like Homeland Security and being named Education and other “Czars.”

Examples of abject corruption, cronyism, and lack of virtue all the way up to their individuals in public office up to and including the Presidency (think of Bill clinton in the Oval Office gratifying himself while US soldiers went in harms way).

We could go on and on.

He's absolutely right, and it is just how Jesus said it would be. And it is going to get much worse.

Lord, have mercy on us.

The media are out of touch with Americans on this. Most people know that a pull from evil on humanity exists. Conservatives know it is called liberalism, based on the pack of lies called political correctness.

It’s ruling structure is centralized power and total control under the rule of people who embrace systematic population reductioin through resource denial, abortion and health care death committees. It sexually molests everyone at the airport as it despises human dignity and runs around screeching about global warming and how the constitution is outdated and must be dissolved for a global utopia under Agenda 21. It talks dirty to the children in the schools and culture because it despises their intellegence, innocence and goodness. It smells like watermelon after the body has processed it.

I'm adding this one to my favorite quotes.

“Various are the pleas and arguments which men of corrupt minds frequently urge against yielding obedience to the just and holy commands of God.”

-Reverend George Whitfield

And a long time favorite.

A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.

-CS Lewis.
