cleared of any wrongdoing?

She resisted arrest and tried to escape.... that certainly makes them think you might be guilty

I think she needed tasing. The chick was way too fast. He would’ve had to leap to catch her and they both woulda went crashing onto the concrete. She had already slipped out of her cuff when in the cop car. The officer was already on notice this woman was slippery. He shoulda took extra precautions while she was in custody. The officer is also at fault for being too lackadaisical, he didn’t cuff her behind the back or cuff her to furniture, because he knew she was sneaky, possibly on drugs and trying to flee all the time.

Tazers were presented to us as a less lethal alternative to using a firearm. Nowadays they are used anytime a cop doesn’t want to chase after or wrestle with someone. Bait and switch.

Once a prisoner is arrested and handcuffed he/she is supposed to be under the control and *protection* of the police. Crime not withstanding, physical condition, mental state immaterial.

She might have been a dirtbag; but she was not a convicted dirtbag yet. She was not a direct threat to anyone; the police have a responsibility to protect prisoners from themselves, even if it means breaking a sweat.

If the gov’t criminalizes dissent, it could be you. “Killed while trying to escape” is an old dodge.

What’s so funny is that the very same people so upset he tased her rather than chased her would be screaming just as loud had he tackled her and she hit her head with the same results...
