Last time I looked at Rick’s website, his Number #1 Issue was Pornography. We shouldn’t have go to his website to find out specifically what he plans to do as President. I actually had a Santorum supporter tell me the other day that we won’t know what those plans are until the General Election. I told him that sounds like “Passing the Bill so we can see what’s in the Bill” That worked out well.
You will see.
We already are seeing. How does it help Romney for Santorum to defeat him in primaries that Romney would have handily won without Santorum’s actions? How do they help each other by running a barrage of negative ads against each other? Without Santorum Romney would have this thing wrapped up by now.
We have plenty of evidence to prove what you are saying is false, and nothing to support what you are saying is true. Come up with some actual evidence rather than just spreading rumor to support what you are saying.
Is he going to go after Homeland inSecurity to only focus on Islamic terrorists and stop sexually molesting us at the airports, spying on us and harassing us? Will he undo the American KGB, Bush, Obama and the Congress has built?
One thing everyone should know about Rick. Conservatives beat him for joining the Rinos in support of Alan Spector. He has expressed resentment towards these “extremists.” That would be most of us. He’s into “social justice.” That includes croney capitalism.

That Santorum supporter is an idiot, or at least he says idiotic things. If he's a Freeper and said that here, please link to his post so I can personally tell him that he's damaging his own candidate.
He said it in one of the debates. They asked each who they would potentially support for VP of those on the stage. Rick said Newts views most aligned with his, so it would be him. I just remember him saying it but can’t say which debate it was in.
It’s pretty easy to find. Sounds like you are not interested in his positions and have your mind made up though.

Believe it or not it was a local talk radio host. All I asked was what Rick’s Plan for the country was.
Number #1 issue on his website is the War on Pornograhy. That issue won’t be of much interest to folks who are out of work. Newt’s Energy Plan is great, will create thousands of jobs. I like it and the man has no problem telling us his Plan.
I’m just tired of Santorum supporters not being able to answer a simple question.
I’ve listened to Santorum in the debates, read excerpts of his stump speeches, and visited his website. I still would like an answer to the question, “What’s your Plan?” with specifics, please. “This election is about Freedom” is not a Solution to anything, nor is the fact that he is a good family man. Arguably, so is Obama.
If he can’t get the message out even to his supporters, how long do you think it is going to take for Obama’s bunch to eviscerate him?
Where can I find his Plan of Action to address our biggest issue, Jobs and the Economy? I don’t waste time with non specifc garbage.
I’m a Newt supporter, for the very reason that he is clear on what he plans to do and the actions he will take. I didn’t have to do research and launch an investigation to find out. He lays it all out for the voters and they can decide if it suits them or not.
I’m not so much interested in Rick’s opinions or positions. I want to know exactly what he proposes to Do to address the huge problems we face. What Actions he will take. What his Plan is. Same thing I would require of anyone wanting to be hired for the highest office in the land.
If Santorum becomes the nominee, it would be nice if we knew what to expect from him. Leadership is going to require more that making speeches. We have a Campaigner in Chief now and he got elected on meaningless speeches and no Plan.

During his time in public office, Senator Santorum was a strong advocate for a family and small business-friendly tax code, serving as the point man to pass the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 that revitalized our economy after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. For his work on reducing the tax burden on all Americans, Senator Santorum has received praise from groups ranging from the Club for Growth to Americans for Tax Reform and the National Federation of Independent Business.
For Energy, his plan is;
America’s energy policy is critical to our national security and economic growth. Dependence upon foreign sources of oil limits our national security options, undermines our interests, and raises the cost of doing business in America. Unfortunately, President’s Obama’s approach has facilitated foreign dependence by restricting oil and gas drilling, making it more difficult to get nuclear permits, and picking winners and losers through failed pet energy projects. We must employ a policy that makes energy more affordable, makes our nation more secure by lessening dependence on unreliable or adversarial foreign sources, and increases conservation through efficient use and diverse energy sources. An effective energy policy will expand economic development and create high-quality jobs, resulting in a strong economy for America’s families and workers. For example, in my home state of Pennsylvania market forces are being used to explore for natural gas. Some experts predict that this exploration will create up to 200,000 jobs by 2020. This has contributed to dramatically lower natural gas prices for consumers, transformed struggling rural communities, created additional revenue for state and local governments, and helped the environment through expanded use of natural gas.
The policies of President Obama have moved us in exactly in the wrong direction. These job killing policies and increased regulatory barriers and burdens have made oil and gas exploration a low priority for America, virtually halting exploration. The President punted on the Keystone Pipeline and opened the door for China. Furthermore, Obamanomics has done nothing to fix a broken and burdensome energy regulatory process and has instead added to the burden. His philosophy and policies only limit growth and development in the energy sector and increase the cost of energy for all Americans. We need a strong energy policy that removes barriers, invigorates the American entrepreneurial spirit that spurs research and innovation, and unleashes a robust energy economy.
Energy independence is more important than ever to ensure our national security. Nations like Venezuela and Iran have threatened to use oil and gas as political and economic weapons by manipulating the marketplace or interrupting supplies. Countries such as Brazil, France, and Canada are creating their own energy independence through energy sources such as biomass, nuclear, and natural gas. Unfortunately, President Obama continues to burden and restrain our energy potential rather than unleash it. That is the job of the private sector and the consumer—not government. We need to tap all energy sources in a responsible fashion to kick-start our economy and preserve our independence and freedom as a nation.
Core Principles
• Create energy security and independence for the U.S. to strengthen our national security and decrease reliance on unreliable and adversarial nations.
• Develop an energy policy that is consistent, uniform, and predictable for long-term economic growth.
•Rely on market forces and private sector research and development capabilities to provide Americans with clean, affordable energy through competition.
•Remove harsh regulatory restrictions on oil and gas research and exploration.
•Expand domestic innovations and energy resources. This includes oil, natural gas, hydro, biomass, wind, solar, clean coal, and nuclear energy.
•Encourage economic growth creating U.S. jobs and bringing us back on the road to growth and opportunity.
•Reduce energy costs for family budgets and business expenses.
Policies
• Remove bans on drilling—both onshore and offshore. This would immediately increase supply, create jobs, and bring revenues to the federal and state governments.
•Continue promoting private sector drilling techniques for natural gas. More than half of U.S. households use natural gas for heat, and a quarter of the nation’s electricity is made from it.
•Eliminate all energy subsidies and tax credits. This will prevent the federal government from picking winners and losers in our effort to unleash all of America’s domestic energy sources.
•Immediately approve the construction of the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline. Construction of this pipeline would deliver an additional 700,000 to 830,000 barrels of oil per day to the U.S. and would create 20,000 jobs.
•Repeal bureaucratic regulations such as EPA’s greenhouse gas regulations, Utility MACT, Boiler MACT, Cement MACT, the reclassification of coal ash, and any regulation of farm dust.
•Restructure the priorities of the Department of Energy (DOE). The DOE spends an exorbitant amount of money on technologies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and alternative-energy vehicles. All of these energy sources and technologies are currently available, but they are not yet commercially viable because of burdensome regulations or because they are still prohibitively expensive. It is not the government’s role to force these technologies into the market place
Rick's tax policies are different. His proposals to have two rates and eliminate all but a few deductions makes sense to me. A pure flat tax with no deductions for kids, mortgages and charity would devastate home prices further, kill wonderful charities and hurt families. I like his pro family & middle class attitude. He understands that we are being pressed the most financially.
His tax policy on manufacturing if done right can lead to more jobs in that sector. The US is woefully out of touch regarding tax policy and manufacturing. Other countries have a much lower tax burden. The three components of manufacturing that put us behind are energy costs, labor costs and the tax burden. We can lower energy costs, lower taxes and remove the restrictions that unions burden business with. Rick has the strongest policy on illegal immigration and frankly this is Newt's weakest area. He is for local panels deciding who can stay. That is a little too much like sanctuary cities for my taste. I live in the central valley of California. The illegal problem is a huge burden. They are a burden on our social structure, export much of their income to cousin Jose in Mexico so it leaves the economy and often pay no taxes by performing work for cash.

Your boy there is the big-government statist, not Newt.
Still, I am not seeing How he plans to accomplish any of that. On job applications, we typically require an applicant to give us a STAR, Situation, Skill, Action, Result, to demonstrate their competency and that they understand the job they are applying for. Past Performance is key.
Newt seems to do that naturally. I like his tax plan better, and frankly, some of Rick’s Energy plan and tax plan is taken from Newt’s ideas. If he can take those ideas and get them done, good enough.
I’m afraid that we may get to the general election on a shallow foundation made up of “He’s Not Obama” instead of informed voters motivated to go to the polls because they are inspired and confident that the person they are voting for knows How to quickly stop the bleeding and begin the healing. Again, I need to know how Rick intends to do that. Newt’s message on his Day 1 in office is pretty doggone impressive and his past performance is proof he knows how to do it. If Rick doesn’t deliver a great message on why we should vote for him, and stop preaching, voters are going to stay home.
He can’t run on his record in the Senate and make much headway. There is a lot of big government spending there that is not going to sit well with folks. What people have done in the past legislatively, carries more weight than promising to do the exact opposite if they are elected this time. Only Democrats get away with that stuff.
This is the vetting that Palin talks about and all the candidates have to go through it to get better. I find it troubling that Rick lost by such a wide margin in his last race in PA. Unless you have really angered the voters, that is unheard of for an incumbent. I hope he is prepared to explain that better than I’ve heard so far, because it will be an issue in the general election.

I have been sick of this since Bob Dole and before. I cannot stand the establishment’s willingness not to take BOZ down NOW!
GOP insiders assumed all along Romney was going to be nominee, sailing through with little competition. What that tells me about GOP insiders is there's quite a delta between what they know and what they THINK they know. With Mitt's PACs unleashing hit pieces on Santorum on a regular basis now, I highly doubt Rick would team up with him.
