From Wiki:
McSally graduated from St. Mary Academy - Bay View and then the United States Air Force Academy in 1988. She earned a Master's degree from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
She earned her wings at Laughlin AFB, Texas and was initially assigned as a First Assignment Instructor Pilot (FAIP) in the T-37. She was selected for Lead-in Fighter Training (LIFT) in 1993, completed the Replacement Training Unit for the A-10 Thunderbolt II, was assigned to an operational A-10 squadron and was deployed to Kuwait in January 1995. During that deployment, she flew combat patrol over Iraq under Operation Southern Watch, enforcing the no-fly zone. In 2000, she reported to Joint Task Force Southwest Asia (JTF-SWA) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a temporary assignment in support of Operation Southern Watch.
In July 2004, she took command of the A-10 equipped 354th Fighter Squadron, and was subsequently deployed to Afghanistan under Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, where she employed weapons in combat for the first time. In 2005, McSally and her squadron were awarded the David C. Shilling Award, given by the Air Force Association for the best aerospace contribution to national defense.
Women in the FREE and CHRISTIAN world are FREE and men don’t use them as tools and shelters.
We are not muslims
That’s a big gun.
What’s a jimmy? Is it a derivative of jimmy-crack-corn, or is it like a crowbar? How about a chimney? By jiminy I do not know.
Did she suppress her menstrual cycle like about all of them do? This is the dirt little secret now isn’t it?
There’s a famous case (look it up - I came upon it a couple years ago and it was an old story by then as I recall) of a female teaching A-10 flight somewhere in US Southwest who was said to be top notch and suddenly one day she fatally crashed no rational explanation whatsoever.
Correct me if I’m wrong but A-10 pilots don’t regularly experience G-forces in tight turns as regular fighter jet pilots yet its not impossible to think this pilot fainted under some kind of duress by flying close to hilly topography on the wrong day. As I recall the plane suddenly flipped and dove into the ground.
All it takes is ONCE, especially with such an expensive plane.
I haven’t combed thread fully but this HAS to be mentioned.
Gee, if I’m wounded in combat, I sure hope someone with something resembling a real muscle can drag me out of the s***.
Looks like Santorum is there to screw up the electoral race with such a topic !
Yes because men and women are the same. /s
Now imagine if a male candidate said a female candidte should be kicked for something she said.
Life is hell for democrats when they realize that there are people who want to live their lives differently from them, out of their control.
After flying combat missions with males, you'd think she'd be able to take differences of opinion a little better but she probably didn't respect them at all.
In fact, McSally’s remarks are sexist in the extreme. What would happen if a male threatened to assault sensitive parts of a woman’s anatomy?
Article:
No, thats not the issue, he said. Ive never raised that as a concern. The issue is how men would react to seeing women in harms way or potentially being injured or in a vulnerable position and not being concerned about accomplishing the mission.
I am against woman in combat for other reasons but if a man can't control his emotions then he should be in combat.
Looks like the ole political correctness bullsh!t strikes again.
Oh well, sinking ever further into the abyss.
Another crude fact is that women have sanitary needs that men do not.
Logistics is crucial, and keeping the front line soldiers supplied with ammo and food is of primary importance. And for every package of feminine protection that had to get flown/trucked/packed to the front lines, is one package of food or ammo that there is no room for.
This reason alone should settle the argument.
With the opposition of both this woman and McPain, I am sure Saint Rick will get creamed in AZ, where they rarely deliver a surprise.
Combat pilots have historically experienced relatively high rates of imprisonment in anything less than completely asymmetrical warfare. The tragic burden of Col. McSally's poorly thought out policy will be born by future female P.O.W.s. They may end up getting something far worse that being "kicked in their Jimmy's" many times each day for years at a time.
I can’t say from personal experience (I wan’t a pilot or in the Air Force) but I don’t thinks the lady’s comments are appropos of ground combat.
Besides, WTF is a Jimmy?
With all due respect for her service, what would be her response if a male service member made a comment about how he'd like to beat up a woman over comments she made about men that he didn't like?
It’s nice to be backed by PC about kicking men in the jimmies. What if a man wished breast cancer on her, eh?
Well, we know who had to pay for what to get where. Obviously thou shall not criticize the prostitute, says PC. Sad to see an honorable female pilot takes this so personaly and wants to remain with the idiots.
AMd the liberal disease eats one more away
