I advocated so strongly for my kids in school that the teachers, aides, admin. staff, and even the custodial staff at each school that my sons attended knew my name...the high school principal or vice p. would meet with me within minutes of my walking into the office. Sure seems that things have greatly deteriorated in 10 years.

Okay, the state worker "felt" it wasn't right.
I would rather have them thinking instead of feeling, but that is probably too much to ask.
WTH is going on in this country where you have government employees checking kids lunchbags?
Might be time to reload and unload and repeat until the threat is over.

At the next school board meeting I would be loud and specific as to where I would put their $1.25 ... they could select the board member to receive the $1.25.

Not to long ago the food Nazis, at my grandson's elementary school in Florida made multiple insinuations that my daughter was not properly caring for him based on the lunches she packed. He had many problems, of which they were well aware, including issues with food. She packed the few things she knew he would eat. Mostly, Crackers and cheese, raisins, pudding, beef jerky, juice and an emergency high sugar item in case he felt his blood sugar level was dangerously low. At one point, they were confiscating his energy or candy bars telling him they were forbidden. A note from the doctor and scathing letters from me seemed to resolve that problem for awhile, but they continued to harass her about the contents of his box lunches. As a young single mother, the intimidation and veiled threats of child neglect eventually got to her and she decided to sign him up for the “free’ “nutritious” lunches he was “entitled” to receive based on her income. She was always against accepting government assistance, but felt there was no choice due to the threats. Problem solved. They won. What could they say now? He collected and threw away the school lunch each day for the remaining year he attended that school. We made sure he had his emergency sugar in his bag and that he ate a good (for him) breakfast before school. He almost always had a good appetite when he got home and that made getting him to eat a good dinner easier. The school Nazis did not know this, nor did they care. They cared nothing for his welfare, they only cared that they won.

Took the healthy home lunch away and gave her this artificial crap? - and charged the mother $1.25 for it to boot?
I’d be suing for 425,000 - minimum:

If the da*m gov’t is concerned about our foods - let ‘em go after the manufacturers that are poisoning us? How about High Fructose Corn Syrup.
And how About Monsanto’s GMO foods>
Or how about meat glue - you’re probably eating it. (If it ain’t got bones - I don’t get it.)

Or orange juice? You think you’re getting 100% pure? - fool you -

It has NOTHING to do with food safety. It has to do with control. And just how much are we paying to have gov’t food police in schools?

The students mother told the Journal she received a note from the school about the incident and was charged $1.25 for the cafeteria tray, from which her daughter only ate three chicken nuggets.
Obama and the LIBS... violating what you give your kids. Watch out if he gets RE-ELECTED...
