The turnout results when either Romney or Santorum win are dramatically lower compared to 2008. This is an indicator of a blowout win for Obama since neither Romney or Santorum can't even inspire GOP voters and many stay home.

The only exception is the showing of Newt Gingrich in both his dramatic win in South Carolina and then in his winning counties in Florida. Newt inspires people to turn out in record numbers compared to 2008, while Santorum and Romney are two dimensional politicians by comparison.

The reason turnout has taken a dive is because — I hate to say it — all of the remaining candidates have serious flaws. Romney, as we all know, is a flip-flopping RINO. Newt is a loose cannon with a vindictive streak who has some ideas that easily could be categorized as Big Government. And Rick is a good social conservative who fully supported Bush’s “Compassionate Conservatism” and was the GOP’s Senate liason with the lobbying community. No amount of whitewash is going to change any of that and it turns people off.

In Missouri, the primary didn't mean anything. No delegates were awarded. That happens in the caucus next month.

The only reason it was held was because the corrupt Democrat SOS would not let them cancel it because it would have saved the Republican party a couple of million bucks.

Bull crap. Just wait until November when B. Hussein Obama's name is on the ballot under the Democrat banner. People will crawl to the polls if they have to. I think the problem right now, in the Primaries, is that people are turned off by all the in-fighting between RINO-Rom and Newtie.

Missouri had zero delegates awarded last night and whether you like them or not, none of these candidates are all that inspiring and our greatest enemy is the drive-by media and their silly and pointless debates (of which we’ve had about 10,000 at this point).

Damn near record turnout at my Precinct in MN. They had 72 show up last Presidential election. 133 last night.

Some people told me they did not bother to vote in Tuesday’s election because it was meaningless since the delegates would not be bound.

Hard to get excited over the choice between moldy leftovers, stale bread, thin gruel, and old fruitcake.

The GOP pantry needs restocking.

I spoke with a college friend who is a lobbyist in DC and asked him if anyone was talking about Alan Mulally as a white knight. He shocked me by saying that was a minor buzz in town.

Alan Mulally is the best CEO in America

From the DC Elite RinoCracy...this is the main problem...

“S&P Threatens US With Another Downgrade In As Little As 6 Months”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2844046/posts

The RinoCracy...in DC ..which sees all through the racial lens...thinks changing the skin color of the White House occupant is all that is needed to improve the US Credit Score.

In order for that to happen ..they have to find a candidate conservative enough to con the right out to the voting booths...but not “too Constitutional” to change the DC status quo for the hogs at the trough.

Basically an impossible situtation.

Anybody capable of getting the Right out in sufficient numbers to change the White House Occupant..is going to be so Constitutional that DC will be terrified. Which is why Palin and Cain were run out of the campaign at the start.

There's one tiny flaw in your logic as I see it. Why didn't they turn out for him in all the other states?

Why?

Maybe many looked at the political and economic landscape and figured the outcome of 2012 is a done, rigged deal.

Instead, they are doing more local things - like taking inventory of their brass and beans, oiling their guns, standing on their front stoop gazing in either direction,... and asking themselves, "Is it time yet, Claire?"!

JP Avalon is the type of self proclaimed moderate, who fails to see Obama as radical. I don't believe a word he writes and I've been reading his schtick for years, since he started in NYC.
Negative ads suppress turnout. End of story. The American people may be feeling better about the economy over the last 3 months, but this is a farce. We are heading for a very nasty recession, as oil becomes more expensive and inflation starts to creep up. But that isn't even the real problem. Germany can no longer keep Europe going. Forget the protests. Take a look at the Baltic Dry Index, an indicated of shipping in Europe, which has fallen 60% in the last six months. And China's real estate bubble is bursting. We will go into recession this year. The only question is will it occur in the summer or fall.

I think it is the adage expressed in the debates, that anyone of them is better than DimBO. While the candidate I would like didn’t get into the race, I will vote on 6 November for the Republican, including the dead squirrel.

You know .. and I think a lot of you need to stop worrying so much about this — are we to believe that so many people back in 2008 were SO much more excited to cast primary votes for Mittens, McCain, Huckabee, and Ron Paul than for Mittens, Santorum, Newt, and Paul?!

I know the tendency around here is to panic and be angry — and a lot of the time I’m right there with you — but I think we need to be confident that everyone whom intends to get rid of the incompetent jerk in the White House is WAY more intent upon voting than the idiots who still support the loser!

When you have “inevitable” candidates, who needs to vote?
