A better question is "Is the GOP losing the support of the Tea Party?"
We have the power to make the GOP sink or swim. If they don't believe us, look at what happened to the Democrats last election. I'm ready to sink the GOP if they run Romney. Dead! Dead! Dead!
I’d say the GOP is losing its’ grip on the Tea Party. To heck with the GOP elites!
Add santorums numbers to Newt’s in Florida and it’s a blow out for Newt and Romney’s campaign would be over. The Tea Party is still splitting it’s vote.
Hoping the Tea Party separates itself from the GOP and becomes its own party. The GOP does not appear to embrace conservatism. doing something akin to Ronald Reagan’s reference to not leaving the Democratic Party, the Dems left him. Well, today, I’m not leaving the GOP — it has left me, and good riddance! Should the GOP’s anointed one, Mitt Romney, get the nomination, Obama and company will make mince meat with its class warfare vendetta.
More like:
The GOP is losing its grip on the Tea Party.
At some point, there won’t be room for both in one party.
No sense waiting.
Dang. Another backwards headline.
It’s the source, stupid. Not you neverdem. I would never shoot the messenger. But the source of this diabolic hit piece, is extremely biased. And, the only thing clear about their politics, is that they lean far left, almighty. IMO
It is funny all these pundits so willing to write off the Tea Party. You would think it has been around forever and is losing steam. Consider the Tea Party was started in peoples minds, moved to the streets, and then into local politics. They have not won every battle but a fair amount. In each of the last two elections and the specials in-between lessons were learned. The Tea Party continues to grow stronger, why else would Obama and the liberals try to copy it with OWS. One thing I think everyone forgets is this is going on the 3rd year and the first presidential election. This requires a national coordinated effort. I am not advocating giving up but keep fighting and we will prevail. President Lincoln was the second candidate run by the newly formed Republican Party. The first one lost and Ill bet the Wigs figured thats the last we will hear of them.
