I’m offended by Drudge because he is spinning and lying about what Newt said and did in the same way as liberals have always done to conservatives.

Newt is a big government open borders guy. If Drudge just told the truth that would not be offensive.

Drudge got rich and powerful and joined the elites, sad to say.

Everyone get a grip. Newt is no angel and has his issues, including a high negative polling. Opposing Newt is no crime against Conservatism.

With that said if Newt is the GOP candidate I will vote for him, but people should not be judged on ideological purity for opposing a flawed candidate.

• Rubio rebukes Newt on ad of Romney but says he will stay neutral.
  
• Mary Matalin on Imus this week. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 Imus clearly anti-Newt, Matalin also clearly not a Newt fan; but Mary did CORRECT Imus [later in the video] on the cancer/wife/divorce comment REPEATED EARLY ON he had been making for days..she said you can hate him for factual issues but that cancer comment is False.
  
• The American Spectator ["Gingrich the Defense Weakling"]even threw in a quote of Ronald Reagan saying in his book that Newt Gingrich "would cripple our defense program."
  
• Ron Paul is even running a video.. "We want a conservative, not a counterfeit".. Newt Gingrich: Serial Hypocrisy" which includes Paul Ryan comment, Larry Cudlow and a host of others..

  I asked on another tread will Palin stand by Newt whenever necessary.

  Rush has said some not so complimentary remarks and called a sell-out on FR.

  Veteran talk show host and author Howie Carr interviewed Newt in Manchester NH was not pretty but Newt 'pauses' and gives a good interview nevertheless; and they both parted agreeing both were long time friends. [also a poll on Barney Frank on the Carr site]

Since when does the posting of news equate to "attacking"?. What exactly did Drudge say that would lead you to such an apoplexy?

This is as good a time as any to remind folks that there are ways to block the ads that the Sludge Report serves up in great quantities. Sludge survives on the ad revenue that comes through his site, and he multiplies that revenue by having his site refresh itself on a periodic basis (every few minutes). Every refresh delivers a new ad to your screen, and puts more money in his pocket.

There are probably other worthwhile resources, but I haven't seen an ad on Sludge in years.

Drudge was on the Romney payroll in 2008 and still is for 2012. He may have never come off the payroll, he pulled the same crap in 2008.
