Fearing Newt Gingrich

Snips:

It’s the liberal media and Democratic National Committee, in fact, that has largely pushed the self-serving “Romney-is-the-inevitable-nominee” meme.

In a recent Fox News interview, Sarah Palin, who has all but officially endorsed Newt Gingrich, said, “I believe the mainstream media and Obama want to face Mitt Romney in the general election.”

Guess who else doesn’t want to debate Newt Gingrich? Hint: his initials are BHO.

I’m reminded of the biblical account of King David. As a shepherd boy, he slew a giant. As a man, he fell into sin — marital infidelity and even murder. Yet through it all God called him “a man after [His] own heart.” Through it all, David remained a great leader.

Like David, Newt Gingrich has proven to be a man with many flaws. But like David, he has also proven to be a great leader. It was Gingrich, of course, who led the 1994 “Republican Revolution” that launched the political careers of many establishment Republicans who now fear their past leader’s future nomination.

There’s not been that much infighting. It’s just a process of elimination and eventual unity. Paul and Santorum are merely taking up space because the real candidates are Newt and Mitt. Hopefully, Newt will come out on top but that’s just me. Then the real fighting for America begins.

“I pray it's not too late to stop the attacks and band together.”

Hummm, I think it already is too late.

The anti-Newt’sters will probably stay home on election day if Newt gets the nomination. And the anti-Romney’s will probably do the same if he gets the nod.

And the Ron Paul supporters probably will go 3rd party.

I see the Bamster winning by 5 to 8 points in Nov. with very little effort. Most of his work will be done by the Repub. primaries and media, so he'll probably get in lots of golf before the election.

Did the GOP establishment really think that shoving a liberal like Romney down our throats would not kill the base’s enthusiasm? How clueless are they?

MAY?! Obama wins a close race in November. No matter who the Republican Nominee is.

“Shouldn’t you be asking why is Ron Paul still in who hasn’t won anything and is in last place?”

Well Ron Paul isn’t a Republican he is a Libertarian running in the GOP primary. Also, Ron Paul is NOT rational, so asking him to do something rational is irrantional. :-)

Like David, Newt Gingrich has proven to be a man with many flaws.

Then perhaps it's a grace that, being of a certain age now, Newt may be reaching the stage when he loses some of his interest in the latest Bathsheba to walk by, and might leave poor old Uriah the Hittite in peace.

About time he gave up his interest in women. We need him on the job, not on the make.
