I’m with you!
Alas, management’s position has become more refined lately:

It’s the least I can do to comply, as I owe him for giving us FR.
Don’t feel bad, I did too.
And all those principled conservatives who are against socialism should endorse only the candidate who proposed to end all govt freebies IMMEDIATELY. No more public education, Medicare, Social Security, welfare, foreign aid, nothing that is redistributed from the taxpayer to the recipient who didn't earn it. If such a candidate could be found, and elected, the country would go up in flames. But the country be damned, let's have a principled conservative with zero tolerance for socialism. None of that gradualist crap! Let the ideal and the perfect be the enemy of the good.
While we're at it let's take another page from the febrile French Revolution, wear funny hats and transport the aliens in tumbrel carts.
Agreed. This is Jim’s site and he has made his decision. We don’t have to agree, but we do have to obey the rules that he sets. I hope we can stop Romney and if Newt is the only one who can do it than I’m on board (holding my nose).
Now I am really confused, is there a PAC funded by illegals or something? :)
Remember that Reagan gave blanket amnesty.. there is this desire of Republicans to supply an excess labor pool to suppress wages and of democrats to import votes.. we are done guys..
BTW newt keeps talking about the illegals that went to your church.. that is IF you are RC ..cause in cal they are host to as many illegals as they can fill the pews with.. so this is an Rc position
I doubt it, but desperation makes for some strange bedfellows.
Once the desperation sets in, you start to make feel good excuses for abandoning one principle after another until you become all that you don’t like.
It kind of works like that.
If Newt doesn’t stop pandering to illegals, I will sit out the election, if he is the nominee. I will NOT support another candidate who supports illegals-PERIOD!
This includes ANY candidate of any party.
Unfortunately, I (almost) completely agree. I will vote for the Republican nominee (unless it is Ron Paul), but as of now my energies will be focused on the down-ticket races.
The “Undocumented American workers for Change” PAC ???
The “Undocumented American workers for Change” PAC ???
The “Undocumented American workers for Change” PAC ???
Then I was in good company.
I agree. Some appear to have the need to be supporting a "great" candidate with positive attributes that would fill a book when they are actually supporting a very flawed "survivor" who would not have passed the laugh test a year ago. As you said, supporting Gingrich because he is better than Romney is an understandable position, to make him into a "conservative" savior is not.
Wow, this position is to the left of Romney.
I have to agree.
I will vote for the one who is least soft on illegal immigration.
The candidates should save their soft spot for legal immigrants, who followed the law and stood in line, some for many years, for the privilege of American citizenship.
You have taken a very reasonable position.
Still, I wish all of the flaws of all of the candidates were open for honest discussion.
This is not a universal Catholic position on immigration.
The Catholic Church teaches that we must engage in commutative and distributive acts of justice.
It is unjust to accept those who have broken the laws of the land to get here and stay here.
California Catholics have been misled by extreme left-wing Bishops and Cardinals for decades.
“Everyday I wonder why in this great country we cannot find a principled conservative who is also a leader.”
My thoughts exactly.
My best guess is Newt is talking to Republican Hispanic voters in the next battle Florida with this approach.
