The sins of the father shall be visited upon the son? What did Rand Paul ever do to Levin?

“I will do everything in my power to defeat his son in Kentucky. I will do everything in my power to defeat his son Rand Paul in Kentucky,” Mark Levin said on his radio program tonight.”

You have to be careful with personal vendettas, Mr. Levin, not to take it so far that your brains fall out. Rand Paul is one of the few members of the House of Lords who is trying to whittle Washington down to size. But if “hold on now” wants to cut off his nose to spite Ron Paul, go for it if that’ll make you happy.

I am not crazy about the Republican field this year, to make an understatement. I think Paul’s positions on reducing the Federal behemoth are the best of all the candidates. But a lot of his foreign policy positions are lunacy. And I don’t trust him (or most of the other Republican candidates) on border issues.

On the other hand, Willard’s past positions indicate he loves big, instrusive, federally-mandated government. Since we’re near the tipping point on the size of the national debt, and with federal spending killing the economy, domestic policy may be more important to our long-term survival right now than foreign issues.

I would like a candidate that wants to take a meat cleaver to federal spending and also be ready to defend us against all foreign threats without decades-long occupations of other countries costing us hundreds of billions.

Bottom line: Mr. Levin might not be able to support Ron Paul under any circumstance. While Paul is far down my list of candidates (I want Bachmann), I will vote for Paul over Zero. I’m not sure I can say the same thing about Willard. I might just have to skip that contest and vote on other down-ticket races. But if Willard had a son in office who was part of the solution rather than part of the problem, I wouldn’t try to throw the son out of office in some sort of bloodguilt fashion. That, too, is lunacy.

Mark Levin should know that he can’t tell a Kentuckian what to do. They are a stubborn lot in Louisville, Lexington and environs.

The attack against Rand Paul is rediculous by Mark. It’s Ron not Rand that is the problem; infact, Rand is probably the closest thing to a conservative actually in the Senate now to begin with.

I like Mark, but he needs to have his head examined if he is wailing against Rand.

Go ahead Mark, waste your airwave time and energy trying to defeat ONE OF YOUR OWN.

Mark will fail. Rand has high marks with most Kentuckians. What a moron.

Rand should have been vigorously opposed from the beginning. Before he put on his Mr. Tea Party Goes to Washington hat, he was working the same lunatic fringe circuit as his father. Alex Jones, Justin Raimondo, Adam Kokesh, you name 'em. He even endorsed Kokesh in the 2010 primary race in New Mexico. That should tell you all you need to know.

Rand is a fraud, just like his old man.

I wish Ron would just let Rand take his place on the current ballot. He’d have my vote right now. That said, I am with Levin here. If Ron Paul did go 3rd party, it would be devastating and guarantee an Obama 2nd term. Anyone associated with it should be shunned.

You can't always judge a son by his father and vice versa:

I think whoever wins the GOP primary should imediately call all the others in and announce that there were many good ideas proposed, he values their input, and that they will help form a team of ‘advisors’ to help defeat Obama

Why on earth would anybody want to remove a good conservative senator from the Senate? Rand Paul might be the 51st Republican in the Senate at some point.

Does it make sense to campaign against anybody in the Senate who endorses Mitt Romney? If Levin's logic was followed half of us would be campaigning for Democrats in the next Senate election, and that would be just plain crazy.

Regardless of what we all think of Ron Paul we need every conservative we can get in the Senate and the House. They may be the only thing holding Obama or Romney back.

I generally agree with Mark about 99% of the time but not on this. Why punish the son for the sins of the father?

Listening to tonight’s show, all I could think was Levin should have taken another day’s vacation. The whole show was pretty horrible. Maybe it’ll be better tomorrow.

After one of the former debates, the talking infobabe asked RP, several times, if he will run on a third party.

RP avoided answering and finally said NO!
