It creates an unfortunate impression that women in any job in public view are primarily selling the illusion of or potential for sexual availability, rather than any legitimate useful skill. Clearly some women are satisfied with that ... and some go to Walmart looking as if they’re hoping to attract potential sex partners ... but I don’t see how it helps women in general or mothers in particular, nor does it do much to promote the dissemination of useful news.
For useful news, I think there’s still nothing to beat text, whether physical print or on-line, and radio is second.
If God wanted us to go around like that, we wouldn't have been born with our clothes on!
You know what they say, though? “90” is the new “85”, so I hope you enjoyed the view! Bob
Plenty sexy for us old codgers....Julie Bandaras and MK both rock. My wife beats me around the head and shoulders at 1pm EDST when I lust.... and they can both breast feed anyplace they so choose. I will hold the blanket up for modesty.
That’s just weird! What did the officer think was going on with a man, a woman, and a nursing infant?
On the other hand, it’s Massachusetts ... maybe I don’t want to know what he expected!
We’ve had lots of stops on the road to feed a baby. It’s much better than the stops because someone has thrown up or had a disastrous digestive event. I stopped to change a diaper recently in a grass parking lot of a Baptist church just off the US highway. There was a Mexican roofing crew on their lunch break from working on the building, and they all cracked up as kids piled out of the van and I dropped Frank on the grass ... “Cambiar el panal ... un desastre, senores!”
I sometimes meet older women at church who nursed their children when it was very unfashionable. They’re often the most supportive, both of having a large family and breastfeeding. And they often enjoy seeing all the clothes and accessories I have available which they didn’t.
I got a free “nursing cover,” sort of an apron like Juan Diego’s tilma, when I ordered a pillow recently. I’ve seen some of the women at church using them, and I expect I’ll find it helpful during the early weeks when you really need four hands, and later when the baby is large and deliberately trying to expose everything!
Good for you buddy. Lust on.
Ya know, not for nothing, it’s Ok to have high standards. The Fox line up of blondes is old and worn now. Banderas? She looks like a squat squaw.
What a horrible thing to say—”vampire brats”. The innocent infants at breast is a gift of God, to mother and child alike. You would not be here but for such a gift.
The militancy, for only cash or show, to be seen making some absurd neo political point by low class, Hollywood types and their imitators is the point and an abuse of the gift and the innocent child.
I understand there is often a need to breast feed in public but I know for a fact that is can be done discretely.
I was seated next to a young woman with an infant in a small commuter plane. She explained that she had to nurse her baby during takeoff and landing to protect his ears. (I told her that all I had was some chewing gum LOL.)
I honestly could not tell if she did it or not. I guess she "whooped it out" at least twice while sitting shoulder to shoulder with me without me knowing.
I still had my gum.

I’m teasing. Devil advocate. I’m really pro breasts.
While stationed in Rome, we went often to the beach at Fregene, near Fiumicino Airport. Plenty of topless activity there, too, but as you say, a lot of these ladies should NOT have been topless.
I have never understood the recent attitude in western societies about keeping hidden what used to be considered a most normal, beautiful, and loving image.
When a new mother and my baby was brand new, I met five friends in a coffee shop to show them the baby. We ordered six ice teas and proceeded to talk. The baby started fussing and I put her under my blouse to nurse, absolutely nothing of the baby could be seen as she was so tiny and she quit fussing and was quiet.
The waitress came over with the ice teas and apparently was so horrified at the site (of nothing) that she dropped the entire tray of drinks.
Other than that, no one ever commented at all about the baby breastfeeding, probably because no one could even tell (the few other times we were out in public) as she was always completely covered. Heaven knows most women don’t want their breasts showing in public in the first place. But they sure don’t want a squalling hungry baby.
I thought we had gotten beyond this squeamishness but maybe not.
I actually had someone pulll up and stop when I’d pulled off on a side road to feed my baby. With door locked, I cracked the window just enough to say, “I’m just fine. Just feeding my baby.”. They looked confused for a bit and then went on their way. It was dark.
I’ve actually witnessed a woman sit down Indian style in the middle of Toys R Us, pull her shirt completely down, and start feeding her kid. Never mind the fact that the store has a mother’s room complete with a rocking chairs and couch, TV, and changing table.
Breasts are secondary sexual characteristics meant to attract the male for reproduction purposes, besides for feeding babies.
They are sexual. That’s why they should be covered and breast feeding done discreetly.
Unless you would think it ok for me to breast feed off some woman in public.
Did you point out your ears get a little stuffed up too? ;-)
My wife never breast fed our children and they turned out pretty well.So what harm could a milked bottle or a formula do once in a while for the breast feeding aficionado’s.
Pure and utter BS!. Procreation does not require you to even touch a breast. Where you get the idea that a breast is 'sexual' is from endless people telling you so.
Unless you would think it ok for me to breast feed off some woman in public.
Sure, if you're a one year old. If you are a grown man then your comment reveals you to be twisted.
I told her “all I had was chewing gum”.
