Loyalty Oath? That sounds like something out a some third world dictatorship. if I lived in Virginia, I would tell the Republican party to stick their Loyalty Oath and any campaign contributions where the sun does not shine.
Oh wait, I did already and I don’t even live in Virginia.

What they need a law to prevent cross-over voting by Dimocrats.

THis is idiotic. There is no way to enforce and no way to determine if the signer is abdigin by it.

Virginia sounds like its primary system needs serious re-working.

That means anyone who wants to vote must sign a form at the polling place pledging to support the eventual Republican nominee for president.

So, the expectation is that I would support the nominee, no matter who? Oh, hell no.

I will never support a republican in this state again. I will write in or vote 3rd party. RPV has always been a joke, but it has gotten much worse in the last 2 years. What an embarassment.

This is the type of thing you see from tyrants and dictators. Now I know I’m leaving the party. I will not have another nominee shoved down my throat the way they are trying to do with Romney.

Two ways to look at it:

- That should effectively close the primary from Dhim voters like those who crossed over to help McLame get the nomination. That is a good thing

Do you honestly think a little think like an OATH (and an unenforceable one at that) is going to stop a democrat?!? Heck it didn't even stop Republicans in 2008, during Operation Chaos, where Republicans were crossing over to vote for Hillary, Rush Limbaugh essentially told them to ignore the Oaths because they couldn't be enforced.

Obviously since we have secret ballots in this country it is completely unenforcable. And stupid.

Has the Republican Party in Virginia LOST IT’S MIND ??? If this is a hoax it is a stupid one. If this is true it cannot stand. If it stands the GOP doesn’t deserve support. Loyalty oaths to political parties went out with Il Duce and The Führer. I guess they don’t call the Republican’s the stupid party for nothing !!

Yeah... They should be as loyal as Republican Sen Warner was when Oliver North was the Senate candidate.

The dems do this all over the nation, but after the oath bears the signature of the dead voter an ACORN rep hands out $100 dollar bills.

No you are wrong....Dim voters have no morals so have no problem breaking a vow.

What this did do was get rid of devout Christian voters. They can not make a vow they do not keep and there is no way for them to vote Romney. This was a Romney move.

The way that the establishment wing has been going, I guess that we should be grateful that they didn't require them to support the eventual Democrat nominee for president.

And just wait til one of the Dims cross-votes in the primary, then goes to Dem leadership saying he voted for a losing Pub in the primary and now wants to vote for Bamster but the Pub dictators made him swear loyalty...

Talk about handing the Dems a weapon to make the GOP look bad! (Not that they don’t do that on their own)

They know they screwed the pooch on this one. Pissed off R’s, all the D’s, and 2/3rds of the independents will vote for Paul. They are trying to keep Paul from winning VA.
