Newt is by far best one for the job! I have been working really hard for Newt and I will not stop until he is our next President! Obama will not hold up against Newt!
Newt 2012!
^5! just heard a new poll on Fox showing Romney or Newt polling above Obama in swing states..with Romney having a very slight edge. Sure, Newt will beat Obama but it will be thanks to people like you.
Anyone who proclaims themselves to be a TEA Party leader is by definition a liar.
We have no leaders and it is no surprise that a usurper would favor a loose cannon lunatic like Noot.
Noot is the antithesis of TEA Party.
Amy Kremer is nobody.
No surprise that a usurper would favor another usurper.
Very few TEA Party voters will support Noot.
He is the epitomy of what the TEA Party is fighting.
Newts success in the 90s was the dismantling of conservative power in the US.
Nothing more.
>> “Last balanced budget we had? Passed by Gingrich as Speaker.” <<
.
Flat out LIE!
We have not had a balanced budget since the late ‘50s.
Noot’s budgets were deliberate deception. they were close to 95% out of balance due to the failure to include debt service as a budget item.
A lie is a lie, and just about everything you state about Noot is a lie.
>> “Rand Paul conveniently uses the lower case ‘c’ conservative on Scozzafava’s opponent when he was actually not a Republican but a Conservative Party candidate.” <<
.
Why do you leave out the reason for that?
RINO establishment leadership conspired to prop up RINO Scuzzafava, forcing the conservative candidate to run from a different party.
Sounds just like RINOs propping up Noot Romney now, doesn’t it!
So the deception here is, as usual, yours.
>> “If Newt became president, there is no way to know which Newt would govern” <<
.
>> “Does his laid out agenda not speak for itself?” <<
.
It likely screams a lie!
As speaker he feigned conservatism, all the while using the power of the speaker to block the consrevative agenda.
If elected, we will almost certainly see a repeat from Noot
..
>> “Newt in 94 with the Contract was very much central in mobilizing the electorate.” <<
.
Bullshit! - - The ‘contract’ almost lost the congress for the GOP.
Bill Clinton’s over-reach was the sole motivation of the electorate.
.
First of all, I have never lied on this forum - and rarely been mistaken - but if I am mistaken then that’s what it is: a mistake.
Having said that, it is widely understood that the US ran some surplus budgets in the 1990’s. Here is one source among many:

Speaking of flat out lies, your screen name appears to be just that. You have a childish ranting way of presenting your point, far different from any editor or surveyor I have ever known - and I have known many of the former and a handful of the latter.
If you want to debate, fine. If you want to throw little childish tantrums, go away.
>> Bullshit! - - The contract almost lost the congress for the GOP.
Bill Clintons over-reach was the sole motivation of the electorate. >>
You have now outed yourself as a retarded troll. No one with any seriousness has ever said the Contract was a campaign negative. Yes, Clinton’s over reach was part of the puzzle - but those two issues are not divisible.
There has been no balanced budget since the fall of 1959.
Noot & Bill’s “balanced budget” totally ignored the cost of interest due on the bonds and T-Certs.
That the “contract” was killing us as the election approached cannot be denied; only ignored by the deceptive, like Noot.
Please bring that brain dead analysis to a more current thread where you can be eviscerated by more than just me.
If you dare.......and I know you won’t do it. You lurk around til no one is paying attention to a thread any more and then strike with your ridiculous theories.
What’s next, that the tea party killed is in the 2010s? Thats the same mindset that says the Contract hurt us in 1994.
Stop being an idiot. You’ve destroyed your own character with your thin skinned arrogance, and for no useful reason.
It’s not thin skin - I don’t suffer fools gladly.
Join me on a current thread or not at all. And please bring up that the Contract with America was a detriment to the conservative efforts. There will be many threads where such a sentiment is pertinent.
I want you to test drive that theory on the open market in threads that are not dead. This one is.
Bye.
The thread was very much alive when I posted, since I picked it up on “latest posts.” Were you not so much a hit and run postor, you would have been able to respond in a timely manner.
The world is too fast for you 11:00 risers.
