Not to be a buzz kill (Lord knows I love watching FReepers fall in and out of love with politicians 50 times a week) however what makes everyone so sure that John Bolton would be the best Secretary of State? Is it possible there is a better person for that position who doesn't talk tough on Fox and have a cool mustache?

Good move on Newt’s part. However, John Bolton might not accept if he surmised that Gingrich was simply using him to placate conservatives and had no intention of allowing Bolton to have a substantive role in formulating U.S. foreign policy. So, although I like the idea, it isn’t a slam-dunk by any means. To win my vote, Gingrich has to do better than simply promising to ask John Bolton to be his Secretary of State. However, I’m willing to listen to his argument.
To: Parmenio
There is that bit in the Constitution requiring advice and consent from the Senate...
Newt better hope for a landslide GOP gain in the Senate to reach the 60 votes needed to prevent conservative nominees, like Bolton, from being filibustered.
To: Parmenio
Bolton is a hard-charging, no-nonsense
patriot.
No more enemies of the USA being invited
by the administration to take advantage
of us.
