My husband is a retired vet. He pays for additional health coverage. He had a stroke a few years ago. He requires ongoing medical care, and will for the rest of his life. Do you honestly think his coverage should be denied when (if) he turns 70? He should die because some bureaucrat evaluates the cost/benefit analysis does not generally indicate the continuation of life functions for a 70 year old unit?
Thank you:)
This is so UN-American and insidiously EVIL, it is hard to really comprehend that it is taking place here in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!
There may be a difference here....but it encourages the same END result (pun intended).
Well, I don’t think health care at the taxpayers expense is a “right”. Do you?

He earned his health care coverage, you ungrateful pig.
Yes, it is incomprehensible. And I’m fuming over a FReeper who has the nerve to tell me that my husband’s 21 years of service in the Infantry don’t entitle him to the health care coverage he earned and is continuing to pay for, and that when he turns 70 he should lose his coverage and be forced to die.
I completely understand. We have Medicare/Tri-Care too.
We ALL need to work hard for the upcoming election.
...And we earnestly need to PRAY for this nation.
Thanks for your kind words. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you for posting the transcript. I’m so disgusted, appalled, etc. by the fact that HHS would even entertain this idea. Obviously, this would never apply to them.
Evil, pure evil.
Military personnel have earned their healthcare....and they pay into the system. Thus, it IS their right. It is not their fault that the government has grossly mismanaged Medicare.
I don't believe that anyone owes me anything in return.
Thanks... you also have a very blessed Thanksgiving! I have to add that I DO believe our wonderful Lord will sustain us. This country is just BEGINNING to enter a VERY difficult time. There is more to come ....but we also have MUCH to be thankful for.
People are finally waking up to what Obama and the radical Democrats have wrought. Perhaps this is a wake up call that we have needed for a long time. I personally know many people who have begun to focus more on what God wants for their lives.....and this is good.
;-)
Did you refuse all pay and benefits for yourself, or is that just your policy for others?
Most Medicare recipients have not "earned" anything, in fact the total payments made by Medicare will exceed the cost of what they paid into the system by 3-4 times.
Pound sand.
Oh, well said, ma’am!!! You have summed up your argument to a nicety. My hat’s off!!
