What seems confusing is that Huck and Romney didn’t get along in ‘08. In fact, it was reported that the two really didn’t like each other at all. So why would Huck now be supporting Mittens?

He isn't. The question was wether the tea party should vote for Mitt if he got the nomination.

Huckabee kept Romney from getting the nomination last time, and hopefully he does his part this time and endorses the 'anybody but Romney' candidate at some point.

Hey Huck!

How about we try nominating a conservative this time around? That way we won’t have to proceed over the cliff, but only half as fast as when the Marxist was in charge.

With the socialist Romney, we’ll still go over the cliff, to be sure, we’ll just obey the speed limit.

Would it freaking kill the party to actually hire a conservative? Last time we did that was 1980. Think we could do it again, just for a few years, just so we can set things right enough for the next pack of ‘centrists’ to come in and put us back on the freaking brink again.

It positively makes you want to go out and hunt the GOP talking heads with a predator drone.

One more rant, only this time I’m laying down

THE CONSERVATIVE DOCTRINE

It reads as follows:

If the GOP will not allow the people to choose between a liberal and a true conservative, then it is ESSENTIAL that the liberal win the election. When the country is destroyed, then what will replace it will of necessity be conservative, for the depression and the jeopardy of our families will have only liberals as an author.

It only took three years, but nobody out there is still credibly saying the current depression and Iran getting the bomb is Bush’s fault.

If we can’t get a conservative, then I see it as a duty to ensure the liberal wins the election in a landslide.

No more ‘pink is better than red’ any more. Hire a conservative or start over, only this time send the parasites on all the coasts packing. We can ship everything we need to sustain export out of Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.

"Mountain Meadows Massacre"-Wasn’t that sometime in the 1850s? What does it have to do w/ Romney?

If Romney is the nominee, the M.M.M. will be rehashed by the media as well as all the other really weird stuff of the mormons.

He is a preacher, which means he always has his hand in someone else’s pocket; pretty much like a socialist.

Well that makes TWO of us who may sit this one out. I voted for McCain by voting AGAINST Obama. I'm not voting for a loser again just to vote against somebody. I did it the first time because the Republicans made a mistake ... but if they make the mistake twice, they are on their own. If the Republicans can't come up with a Conservative Candidate, then I simply will not vote Republican.

And Huck thinks the Tea Party is a possible endorsement? Even he doesn't get it. The Tea Party will NEVER endorse. There is only one ENDORSEMENT ACTION ... and that is the vote in the voting booth, (or in this case the possible LACK of it!).

Oh, now this makes sense. Huck still wants to sabotage Mittens. The word about Mitt in the ‘08 election was that his sons and their friends were absolutely obnoxious and alienated all of the other candidates, especially Huck.

A good study of history—so you aren’t destined to repeat it—is to study the Mountain Meadow Massacre. It shows the deceit and dishonesty still practiced by the LDS church. Why would the Mormons now claim, for example, they are Christians if they have emphatically denied it since their founding by Ole Joe. Or what did Ole Joe mean when he insisted the God had told him to join none of the then-present churches and denominations. Suddenly, that message is irrelevant, and the LDS members are free to throw their hats in with the ones who were previously unworthy of their patronage?

Ok, so you’ve got a theological beef with the Mormons. Do you consider 0bama—the guy who calls the deranged wailing of a muezzin “the sweetest sound on Earth”—a good Christian? I’ll take a Mormon any day of the week over that. (And no, I don’t buy their theology any more than Jews believe Christian claims about the identity of the Messiah.)

It isn’t a theological beef. The Mormon church allowed a wagon train— from Arkansas, to pass from Northeast Utah through the state to southwest Utah. There, the church leaders ordered a massacre of about 120 members of the train. Apparently local Paiute Indians were also involved. For decades, the LDS church covered up it’s involvement the massacre, finally allow church member John D. Lee to take the fall for the crime. He was executed and the LDS church pretended it was all over, That covered up continued past the 1960’s when I proposed an usndergraduate writing project to my professor to go to southwest Utah and try to determine the extent of the Paiute’s involvement. I wrote a letter telling of my intent to a Utah Baptist pastor. He wrote right back, saying that could well in danger if I came up. I took his letter to the mother of an LDS girl I used to date in high school. (Their family was from southwest Utah.) She acknowledged the truth of the Baptist preacher’s claim and discouraged me from going. (I didn’t.) Since that time, I have watched the LDS church continue to deceive the American public on various issues. That is the heritage of the LDS church. Your claim that you’d take Mormons over Obama is a misguided and thoroughly lame. If you wish to help elect a man whose heritage is engrained with this kind of lying deceitfulness, then I can’t respect either your position or your integrity.
