The individual mandate is slavery.
Obama-lite, indeed. Mittens can’t even keep his tenses straight. So, how can we expect him to keep his stories straight?
Example from this article:
“Some parts of it worked, some didn’t, some things I change.”
Note “some parts of it worked” is past tense and so is “some didn’t”. “Some things I change” is present tense.
With Mittins we have POSITIONAL VERSATILITY refined to a degree sufficient to gag a maggot.
So will I. If we can’t do any better than Romney, then the nation is lost. Period. Deep Sixing this guy if for nothing else to teach the GOP a lesson would be worthy.
What do you do with the guy who does nothing about future illnesses and the shows up at the hospital with cancer?
We are in a lot of trouble with this.
We did that with McCain!!
I was hoping the McCain fiasco last presidential election would have taught the GOP that lesson.
Ron Paul / Bachmann - the only two we can trust at this point. You may not agree with them on everything - but the rest are reptiles.
Pay for Commiecare or go to jail. Sounds perfect to me.
I’m sick of romney - he is a joke and needs to go away.
The Individual Mandate is slavery damn it!
A mandate by government is anathema to the unalienable right to ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’. The fact that Romney does not understand this is, IMO, disqualifying.
If any candidate wants to address the health care issues of those who have insufficient incomes to pay their own way, they should open the debate with the spoken assumptions that we must respect the rights of EVERY citizen in the process.
The REAL question we must address as a society is: who is ‘indigent’ and deserves our help and who is not, and thus must help shoulder the burden. Even so, I am shocked to see how easy it is to send armed federal agents to take from a class of prosperous victims so that the permanent underclass can have EBT cards that at least in California, can be used at Subway and other fast food joints.
Call me the Anti-Coulter and the Anti-Karl Rove:
Mitt Romney, it is inevitable that you will never win the White House. If you genuinely love your country and wish to do what is in the best interests of all Americans, you will acknowledge the inevitability of your defeat, graciously end your campaign and encourage Americans to uniter behind a conservative candidate and vote to remove Obama from the White House.
Sean Hannity seems to still slobber all over Romney, so I fall back on the default voice of conservatism - El Rushbo. Conservative tactics in politics work every time they are tried. Hannity and Coulter seem to have forgotten this truism.
I just did a Ctrl-F on “Gingrich” and not one posting addressed Gingrich’s original position. I’m listening.
You do the same as he did - nothing.
If a charitable organization (NOT government) wants to pay for treatment - that would be fine.
Romney's response was we have to pull together as Americans. Right.
It would've been a good time make some specific tax reform proposals instead of lame piffle.
I don’t want a “mandate” either.
However, the majority of the voters of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DID. That was their (enforceable) will by virtue of having a sufficient, OVERRIDING majority in the Legislature. It is called REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT.
If he is in position to do so (as President), he has promised unequivocally to promote the removal of Obamacare.
Stating this is NOT SUPPORTING Romney—for all the fire-breathing dragons out there. This is called being aware of the facts so that we can THINK as well as feel.
Next?
BUMP!
