Who would want the furniture back? I doubt it would be very clean.
Synthesis: This is my furniture.
Antithesis: This is my furniture.
Synthesis: This is our furniture.

He will probably get off.
Example: A neighbor of ours fired a contractor who was renovating her home, because he was stealing money. He then returned to her house the following night with a truck and loaded up everything moveable, including the kitchen sink (really, along with the counter) and even every lightbulb in the house.
In court, his lawyer argued that there was no evidence that the thief did not intend to return the pilfered items, and he was let off. None of the stolen items was ever returned.
This is the way the courts operate these days (at least here in NJ).
Ah, yes. The tried and true "I didn't steal it, I was just borrowing it" defense.
I have some lead in 40 grain containers. I will be more than happy to give him all he wants of it.
