Do you know how long it typically takes for this show to be available on Mark’s website?
I want to listen to the opening discussion of the Supreme Court case again.

Just dawned on me, how did your trainers do corrections, treats and positive
reinforcement or physical corrections and positive reinforcements?

Big difference between big dog training and little dog training.

kinda sad in a way - levin said severability has been decided - which we kinda already knew

wonder if they will toss the entire thing or just the 4 areas they are going to hear

democrapz will keep it without the individual mandate - they would just make us all pay

Just for the record...as I understand it...

The court agreed to hear some of the issues of constitutionality raised in three of the five separate cases on the federal health care law.

They did not grant all of the issues raised and they chose issues to review from only three of the five separate appeals.

The court chose to hear issues from appeals
by the federal government (Department of Health & Human Services v. Florida, et al.);
by the group of 26 states (Florida, et al., v. Department of Health & Human Services);
and by a business trade group (National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius).

They chose not to review challenges to new coverage requirements for public and private employers and did not address petitions by the Thomas More Law Center and by Liberty University.

5 1/2 hours has been allocated to the following four issues.

(1) Severability
- Can the remainder of the law survive if major portions such as the individual mandate are found to be unconstitutional?
1 1/2 hours

(2) The individual mandate
- Is it constitutional to require the purchase of a product/entering into a contract?
2 hours

(3) Anti-injunction
- Are the punitive measures for “not getting” coverage a “fine” or a “tax”? Do the states and/or individuals have to wait to be fined or taxed (harmed) before they have standing?
1 hour

(4) Expansion of medicaid
- Is it constitutional for the federal government to impose new conditions of eligibility and coverage on the states?
1 hour
