Some of this will pertain to expert marksman-ship/ hostage situation:
First, I’m going to preface with some of these terms:

“dolos” meaning deceit, craft, derived from to “beguile/delude/entrap....
“asunetos” meaning without intellect/mind/wicked....
“naphash”(Hebrew)for re-fresh breath air....and
“adokimos” meaning reprobate (in the context of mind/breath. (psuche/nashash gone)
A. Of believing the witnesses:
1. I’ve said before this is NOT a “scandal” it’s a defined Grand Jury Report CRIME (witnessed testimony Grand Jury Report) not to be repeatedly grouped misleadingly with other “scandals” (i.e. such as OSU tattoo-gate)
2. This Grand Jury report plotting savagery pertains to LITTLE boys. Not college, Not high school, Not middle school,... but vile savagery to grade-school LITTLE boys. Penn State people and others ever been in a GRADE-SCHOOL? Think on that.
3. From the above listed word meanings. At this level of vile savagery we no longer have “human”, not even animal . The above are GONE. Instead “burning” craft/plotting a systematic of plotting of extreme wicked craft to the point of DESTRUCTION threat of life.
IF McQuerey, already sighted by both perpetrator and LITTLE victim, takes action : A real scenario, the perpetrator uses the LITTLE boy as cover (such as grabs the child by the neck, etc.,, escalates the situation risks the lives of BOTH and the LITTLE boy, and we have a real death hostage situation. The ONLY solution at THAT INSTANCE is an expert armed marksman.
Believing the history: the perpetrator being not beyond anything (see above terms), even having a concealed weapon of some device (i.e. knife, etc.,), his own physical size ,etc., The risk of the life of the child.
(Note: I assert that this situation NEVER happens with every student armed and expert trained in marksman-ship with a rifle carrying option (admission requirement). All campus fire-arms computer safety collared (similar to home monitoring), that only become “live-armed” in the presence of a minimal of Twos, from an emergency central campus and police LOCATOR system.
I further assert that the WOMEN would love this now days, would excel in these training classes.
So instead McQuery emergency locator beeps, another student/or officer comes to his side, unlocked-armed.
This is just one example of possibilities are technology should really be working on.)
Regarding Paterno and the now past Penn President: Ponder on this: Peterno gave his after the season notice, instead was terminated...has he written a formal public letter of PROTEST? Does he stated publicly a plan on employment recourse against the current PENN State ADMINISTRATION/TRUSTEES to get his BELOVED coaching position back? Did he state BEFORE this week, that he is through with coaching?
The same goes for the former Penn Pres.
Nebraska should NOT even be thinking about playing, and IF “they” cave, there are players that should either not go or just sit out. Are you a Man or not, players?
