I don’t think it matters who passes Romney so long as his campaign sinks.
I get the impression that Huntsman will try to go after him in this week’s debate. Doubt it’ll get him anywhere, but it will give Slick Willard’s checkered past some much-needed attention.

Where’s that jpg of Romney sitting on the couch, in his robe, holding some booze?

We’ve moved from “anybody but Romney” to “anybody but the establishment Candidate”.
Cain & Romney have dropped.
Gingrich, Paul, & Bachmann have risen.
Perry, Huntsman, & Santorum are treading water.
It’s pretty clear the moode isn’t just anti-Romney. The mood is anti-establishment. Nobody that could be described as an establishment candidate added supporters.
This is especially bad news for Perry. It shows that his biggest problem is voters consider him an establishment guy in a year when the GOP voters are looking outside the establishment.

Romney is strong in the GOP machine because of his polling.
If we can get his numbers down lower then third place a lot of his support is going to migrate to other candidates.
Romney is the true "flavor of the month" candidate since most of his support is Establishments GOP voters who only want to win in 2012. The GOP machine is telling them he can win so that is who they are for.
If Romney starts looking like a loser a good chunk of Romney support in the GOP will jump ship

I prefer Huntsman to Romney any day. at least Huntsman is honest about his beliefs. And Huntsman hasn't flip flopped on being pro-life or on being pro-self defene. Romney has.
