What we did accomplish there was we pummeled Osama and we ran him off to Pohkistan.
I am sad that we are giving up the good fight in Iraq, while sending more soldiers to their death in Afghanistan.
I dont like this stuff one bit.
Obama is feeding our guys to the afghan hoards, while retracting us from positions of influence.
Yep. I remember hearing an interview with a Marine who did several tours there. He said when he first went there in 2001, he showed them photos of 911, and told them we were there to kill the people who did that to us. The Afghans understand and respect taking revenge, and viewed the Marines like some kind of super-tribe. They didn't have a problem with it. On later tours, after government troops had moved into the area they were much more hostile, because now their way of life was threatened.
Are any of the GOP candidates calling for pulling out now? ‘Cause Obama is going to before the election.
All I know is I have 54 year old friends there in leadership positions and they are pissed about the ROE

Yep - to become a “General Officer” one is supposed to have mastered political correctness to the N-th degree....this guy had a major hiccup, for sure.
I’m still sorting this out, but it looks like we’re getting generals to march the troops into that nest of vipers in DC and clean it out.
