“If someone in his camp spread this gossip, then they did it without his approval, IMO.”
‘Do you mind if I smear your opponent?’ is not the type of question a career politician is going to be asked by his staff. As the boss, he’s still responsible for the actions of his subordinates.
That is good. I was wondering about John 3:16
Agreed—he obviously hadn’t forgotten all about this if he could recall in precise detail a discussion he had about it in 2003.
Agree on Romney, too, though simply OBSERVING that gets you called all sorts of names around here. I do not want Romney as president. I have nothing positive to say about him except I will not support him for nomination, but I will vote for him against Obama.
Romney is an awful, awful choice...except for the alternative.
Gingrich would be a kind of Joe Biden equivalent, someone with DC credibility, but I don’t know if he will be picked—he would overshadow Romney. Hell, anyone will.
Cain gave very specific circumstantial evidence why he blamed/blames Anderson. He just wasn't making a random accusation.
Nonsense. I’m not a lefty and I think Charles is making excellent points.
Suddenly around here if one isn’t a Cain devotee, that person is a leftie.
Hey I didn’t vote for Clinton... that was your hero.
**************************************
I have started wondering if there is somebody over at the NRA that Cain really pissed off. There's now the story about lavish spending that angered some board members. That seems more personal than taking fire from another campaign.
Cain does have a way of shooting his mouth off...maybe somebody is holding a good, hard grudge at him?
I don't know how you missed this one -- it is right in this very article:
"I am almost certain that I did. This is why we want to get off this merry-go-round," Cain said. You are right, earlier he sounded certain. Now he is only "almost certain". Maybe by tomorrow he'll say he was just joking. Who knows with Cain.
When he was having trouble explaining his simple abortion position, I mentioned my new rule that I would wait for Cain's 4th statement on anything before I felt I really knew what he believed.
On this story, that has been a helpful rule to follow.
Cain knows how to create and sustain a buzz and knows exactly what he is doing: he needs money and an organization.
So what to do?
Prolong the ongoing lynch mob atmosphere, and money pours in, and volunteers are fighting to get in the doors of his unusual myriad of auxiliary campaign organizations, which in happy chaos are bubbling up everywhere. Tonight I was offered hotel space for more meetings while my wife simultaneously was dunned on the phone by another fund-raiser for Herman. Cain is a mathematician, he knows how to calculate better than you know how to go to the bathroom.
Clinton was MY Hero? C’mon “darlin” you can do better than that.
If you read the Forbe’s article, you will see that they were just extrapolating from what Cain told them, assuming Cain had evidence for his claims. They weren’t really making their own conclusions.
But also, he’s just the head honcho. I doubt he micromanages his reporting staff. And that’s a good thing.
Omigosh. You have much competition but I do believe that is the stupidest post I’ve read in a long time.
Nothing is “collapsing in on Cain”. He raised $100,000 in 24 hours for his Iowa fund.
The “scandal” is already fading. Most people don’t know about it like we do.
I’m going to a fundraising luncheon and a GB Packer tailgate party with the Herminator soon! YAY!
100k raised in Iowa money bomb today and more on the way!
What makes you think it was the Perry campaign that leaked the harassment story? What if it was the Romney campaign?
Then stop worrying about it so much, Cainbot.
But his ongoing response has not been good. At all.
The scandal is already fading. Most people dont know about it like we do.
Most people aren't voting in the primary, either.
Yes, that’s definitely a great one for inspiration. But I also love the context of the entire phrase, after verse 16, all the way to verse 21.
Talk about conservative principles of God and Country. I swear, verse 20 makes me think if the current administration.
Way different from the guy we saw at the debates, then, I guess. All I could think of when I saw the debates was "how on earth could this man ever get elected even to the school board, he can't even complete a sentence." Perry = Bush, minus the skilled articulation of ideas.
