Actually it should. A lawsuit suggests there might be something there. A $35,000 severance package is a clear indication that *nothing* happened.
Gag orders on these types of cases are the norm. Companies don’t want the particulars out there because they don’t want the next person who decides to bring a suit against them for the next stupid thing to know what they will settle for. It’s that simple. Most people are not inclined to talk about something they have agreed by law not to talk about. Your mileage may vary.
It it time to tell the MSM that we don’t need their approval on who will be the nominee. I don’t want Romney and IMHO, I want it to be Herman Cain. BTW, one rhetorical question, who is paying these women to come out of the woodwork ?
As for his previous lie...
10/02/11””My reaction is, that's just very insensitive,” Cain told Fox. “[There] isn't a more vile, negative word than the N-word, and for him to leave it there as long as he did, before I hear that they finally painted over it, is just plain insensitive to a lot of black people in this country.”
10/03/11: All I said was the mere fact that that word was there was insensitive, Cain said outside Trump Tower in Manhattan, N.Y., according to the National Review. Thats not playing the race card. I am not attacking Gov. Perry. Some people in the media want to attack him. Im done with that issue!
Facts are stuborn things, MiniJohnie.
Cain didn’t have a “gag order” (non-disclosure agreement), since the agreement was between the NRA and woman. The woman does though, so Cain knows she can’t contradict him. So why has he refused to call for the NNA to allow her to come forward now? And how does that square his saying he didn’t know about a settlement, the he did?
If someone is applying for a job shouldn’t it be of interest to his employers that there had been a settlement for a sexual harassment case at a previous job? And if he denied knowing about it in an intereview, then then admitted it was true but he hadn’t recalled it at the time, how would that sit with a potential employer? Cain is applying to most imporatant job in the world, and he is showing himself as less than truthful.
You appear to be very in the know about this settlement, so I’d like to see all of the info you have on it. If the settlement included him, I would be surprised that he didn’t sign anything, but go ahead, show us what you have.
I’m just going by what’s been widely reported, that the woman’s lawyer has requested Cain ask the NRA to release her from the NDA, and he so far hasn’t done so. So he clearly doesn’t want the details released. As it is, he can claim it’s baseless, and she can’t respond. Whether she really wants to is debatable, some sources have said she doesn’t.
bttt
I don't know how series you are being but it is hugh and series to me. That kind of graphic makes me nauseous and I scroll by it as quickly as possible and yes, I am already a monthly donor.
When a tv camera pans over scenery or an audience, that has the same effect on me, I guess I'm just strange that way. You might guess that I don't do well on carnival rides either. I did spend a week aboard an ocean liner with no ill effect though.
Any evidence? Documents? Anything?
Rumor, innuendo and accusation are not proof of anything but your rabid ignorance
You said Cain didn’t sign any sort of gag order. Present your evidence.
Rush was clear on the schizophrenic reaction to the Politico (Washington Post's Smear Apparatus). There's nothing Cain can do, he added.
Ann Coulter provides perspective.
Ann Coulter: WHY OUR BLACKS ARE BETTER THAN THEIR BLACKS (Libs Lynch Cain)
My evidence is that Cain said he didn’t know about any settlement. If he signed it, how could he not know about it?
Rush, I think, agrees with you that Herman has been damaged somewhat which is why he rehabilitates Newt in his monologue here.
Are you saying you don't really know one way or another and are just making a guess? If we are making guesses then, my guess is that if there was a settlement they all signed non-disclosure agreements. I don't know any more than you do (and I'm not presenting myself as having any information, only that these agreements are common). It has sounded like he was trying not to disclose information that he wasn't sure he could talk about, or was sure he wasn't supposed to talk about. And he handled it clumsily.
Now if you were an employer, and someone you were interviewing did that, would you be inclined to hire them?
And your post is exactly why it’s impossible to say anything and not have people who don’t like you have something negative to say. There is no way to wipe poo off your shoe elegantly. Face it, you don’t like Cain, so you’re not going to like anything he says about this. I don’t care what you think about it. I simply wanted to correct your mistake.
