I am disappointed in you, CW. I thought you were an honorable woman who fought fairly for her candidate. I didn’t expect you to jump on the garbage truck along with the other witch hunters!

Cain is going to set the record for having run the most inept campaign in modern times...

Mark Block just appeared on Fox, accepted Mr. Anderson’s (from the Perry Camp) comments made earlier on Fox, and said that the campaign was moving on.

How noble of them! Issue a false accusation, in which they had nary a scintilla of evidence, and then just 'move on'. No apology, no mea culpa, nothing.

Add uncouth & unsavory to list of descriptives for Team Cain.

Well one good thing—in March, ole Herb promised us, “there are no skeletons in my closet”, so we don’t have to worry that he now tells us Perry did it.

Herb blabbed all about this outstanding news to his research guy, back during prep for his failed senatorial campaign in the 90’s. Now, in 2011, running for the Republican nomination he wants to react like this? Like Ned with his First Reader? No wonder he dropped into a padded hole with a microphone doing radio. Who would hire him with a settlement and two more uncomfortable complaints in the air? A fine resume this does not make.

When the story of the harassment first broke, I believed it was pure crap

I now believe it happened. When your whole candidacy is based on your supposed character you better have some.

I wonder if there will be an apology for the accusations thrown at the Perry camp?

I'm betting neither from Perry or Romney. Unlike sports, Cain was deliberately shoved down, and rats never apologize.

It’s utter amateur hour at the Cain campaign. They’ve bungled the entire story, then went on national TV and blamed Perry people, and now have to back off that claim.

Cain and his people are not even close to ready for a serious national campaign. They look like a bunch of clowns considering they had 2 full weeks to nail down a reasonable response.

Block said he accepted Anderson’s statement. Doesn’t mean that Anderson and Wilson weren’t behind this. I am sure the truth will prevail.

By the way, Cain’s campaign at least issued an acceptance of Anderson’s statement.

That shows a lot more integrity than the jump-on-the-bandwagon by your candidate and supporters about this and every other liberal media hit piece on Cain.

The Cain campaign seems to love to throw accusations around

Team Perry, meanwhile, says it’s the Mitt Romney campaign who sent the story to Politico.

It appears many of them do.

Perry's Pollster Wilson was the 1st outside party to give hearsay "verification" to the Cain smear job to the Junk Media. Wilson admits he has NO evidence. He was the 1st person to runs to the media with what is merely a repeating of the smear

Perry's Arizona State Coordinator was tweeting about the smear before Politico published it.

When can we expect the Perry camping to address the actions of these two smear merchants and their ties to the Perry Campaign?

How about you Perry supporters address these facts rather then just screaming "False false false" at everyone?

Good insight.

>>>>>>"""Cain’s campaign doubles down on their false, baseless charges. Why Cain thinks the right response to being attacked by an unsubstantiated charge is to make his own false charges is beyond me.""""

That is very interesting, and one can theorize a lot about that one. Something is just not right in the Cain camp, JMO. Why didn't he go after Romney, maybe because he wants to stay on Romney's good side for VP. I dunno.

Let's KNOCK out Perry, and all it would take is a simple accusation. Now that Cain has seen that the people still LOVE and adore him, he is free to behave and speak as he wishes. If that is the case that man is a true politician.

That is your opinion, an arms length pollster would maintain a degree of independence , this person is an employee of Perry's, he has written may statements saying so. Some of you perry people posted his bogus Iowa poll here without disclosing he worked for Perry. He was still working for Perry when he gave the interview did he disclose it, not.

Most inept campaign in modern Political history?

What do you call a campaign that, despite having $17 million to spend, when from 30% in the polls to single digits in 6 weeks?

Take a look in the mirror Perry-bot to see the most inept political campaign in modern history.

Cain and company have been played. Took the bait, hook line and sinker. I believe Herman Cain is a good man. He, and his staff, are not politically smart though. All of this is a big twofer win for you-know-who.

Even if Perry did it, the politically smart move would be to put the blame you-know-where, even if that is false. I can’t see Sarah Palin taking the bait like this. I don’t even see Gingrich getting sucked in this badly.

Video: Jon Stewart Mocks Herman Cain’s Selective Memory

http://www.opposingviews.com/i/politics/2012-election/video-jon-stewart-mocks-herman-cains-selective-memory

OK, the “Grope?” graphic is pretty unfair since nobody even accused Cain of groping anyone, but Stewart does a good job of skewering Cain’s selective memory and doubletalk. Funny as hell.

Wilson has made it very clear, including with his releasing the press to reveal if he was a source, that he was not. Yes, he subsequently commented on what he was an eyewitness to, though with no specificity.

It was a major mistake for Cain and his campaign to point the finger at Perry and this guy with no evidence. Moreover, I’ve seen Cain be a repeat, facile liar and I’ve no record of Anderson being such, thus I am inclined to believe that Cain completely made up supposedly confessing to Anderson in 2003.

The ‘smears’ have come from the Cain campaign.

You have got to be KIDDING!

Wish you had shown up with your high standards on honor back when Rick Perry was getting worked over for a rock on a hunting lease. Find me your remarks against THAT witch hunt. That was the garbage truck that ole Herb jumped on by morning time, accusing Perry of “insensitivity”. This guy, Herb, sits on his mouth when Romney first came under suspicion for this Cain leak business, with Romney having his own connection to the NRA. What did you hear from ole Herb then, over that first 72 hours? Damn crickits! Now after making a scene, AGAIN, that Rick Did It, the creep wants to move on. Not so fast Herb. We are not the 22 year old grads you power tripped back in the 90’s, with your suggestive flattery that you want to call “compliments”. Not workin’ here. Wake up.
