May God have mercy on this person's soul.
The protester didn’t sound too bright, if he was willing to block a road for no real good reason.
Any road rage points given?

7:45 p.m. Injury accident on Broadway at 11th Street
A man and a woman were hit at 11th Street and Broadway by a silver Mercedes, after a male driver ran
a red light, said Joe Jackson, 37, of Oakland, who witnessed the incident.
The driver was irritated by protesters walking in front of him.
Onlookers said the driver deliberately ran over the pair, accelerating after a man hit on the hood of the car.
The windshield was splattered with what appeared to be a milkshake.
After the car stopped at the other end of the intersection, the driver switched seats with his female passenger.
About 40 people gathered in the intersection and some pulled open the driver’s door.
The woman inside shouted: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”
The injured man and woman were taken away in ambulances.
Police let the driver go.
Now let the games begin!
Big news if true. This OWS crap was leading to deaths. Just a matter of time.
Given the general intelligence level we’re dealing with in the occupy this and that craze, probably some guy impersonating a speed bump. Not prudent.
Rachel Corrie’s brother??
“Occupy Oakland Protestor Reportedly Killed While Blocking Road”
Progress.
Watch folks.... if an OWS protester is indeed killed, it will eventually come out that he’s ACORN or SEIU or HOMELESS with some ACORN/SEIU “walking around money” in his brand new bank account.
I said it first.
It’s up to the police to stop this crap...if they don’t, poor little Johnny’s mother ends up having to go to a funeral.
There's a lot of motorcycle-hostile drivers in that area.
1 + 1 is always equal to 2..........Again.
Nuff said.
Please update the title to “Protestor injured”, per the news reports.
A serious injury, and they let the driver go? That part of the story doesn’t sound credible.

If somebody was indeed running thru traffic, sounds like he’ll be “Occupying Dead Street.”
Sweet.
How does one define victory?

“It’s a victory,” exulted one protester, 21-year-old Oakland art student Umar Shareef. “To get all these people together as one unit is amazing.”
Andrez Quintanilla, a 28-year-old truck driver, was trying to drop off a load at the port but was forced to cool his engines outside the entrance.
“It’s good what they’re doing,” he said. “They’re trying to make sure everyone has their rights, but I wish they would let me go. I need to go home.”
