By their comments on the page, looks like being pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-constitution, pro-limited government, pro-liberty is an extreme position for the readers of Fox News Nation. Strange, it matches up pretty closely to the official GOP party platform. People with these views used to be called patriotic Americans.

Well guess we'll just have to be happy as gun-toting, bible-thumping, bitterly clinging extremists. I've been called worse. Karl Rove, FOX & Co, can shove their RINO du jour where the sun don't shine!!

A Small Statement On Romneycare

James Madison

Click The Pic To Support FR

Annals of Congress, House of Representatives, 3rd Congress, 1st Session, page 170 (1794-01-10)
The Annals summarize speeches in the third person, with the actual text of Madison’s quote as follows:

“Mr. Madison wished to relieve the sufferers, but was afraid of establishing a dangerous precedent, which might hereafter be perverted to the countenance of purposes very different from those of charity. He acknowledged, for his own part, that he could not undertake to lay his finger on that article in the Federal Constitution which granted a right of Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.”

Jim...with this story on FOX and also in the Politico, can you let us know if traffic to FR goes up...I suspect it will...and maybe more will join, though I suspect you’ll have to beef up the
troll patrols”

But he talks so PURDY...

Sigh. All that studying he did to get informed, and now that he’s aged he is even easy on the eye, no longer a Ken doll....
what a waste.

In defense of Jim:

To use an old saying once attributed to Voltaire - but most likely originating with Evelyn Beatrice Hall writing under the pseudonym of Stephen G Tallentyre in The Friends of Voltaire (1906), as a summation of Voltaire's beliefs on freedom of thought and expression.[http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Voltaire ]

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

And then to make my own addendum to it, in Jim's defense:

"I am not however obliged to buy you a megaphone or lend you mine."©Wuli

Been reading your site for years, loved the news, especially foreign policy and military coverage. I also support Romney. In the super bowl of politics called the race to the white house, you seem to suddenly ban those who aren’t rooting for your team? I understand your site is meant for your particular audience, which is fine - but there are plenty of sites that allow complete open-ended debate/promotion, which is truly free - unlike your site. Very contradictory of a site that is supposed to be pro-liberty. That’s all I really have to say.

For the record: life long conservative in MD, not Mormon, or any of the general accusations you might think of.

I saw Rove give a two minute speed-read defense of Romney on Fox and Friends this morning while greatly qualifying Cain's ability to recover from the current allegations. Rove makes me puke.

It only goes to show how far out of control things have gone in just a couple generations since the passage of the 16th and 17th Amendments. Those have to be repealed. Unfortunately people don't see how those two amendments have come to damage country and will ultimately destroy our economy if not the nation.

Entitlements are not just about welfare, SS or Medicare. There are tens of millions of people tied into the federal bureaucracy through the agencies that regulate them (and their competitors), that provide money, grants and so many other policies that people have become dependent upon.

I could list hundreds of examples but just examine:

The only way out of this mess is to take back the reins. If we have to do it one at time, so be it. If we have to do it out of sequence, so be it. If we can only take one step in that direction, so be it. I will vote for 999 because that is the only viable plan to shake things up right now. We cannot wait. I am in favor of almost anything that will cut away all the obfuscation so people can see more clearly. And only when we all (or a big majority) can see clearly can we agree that this shell game is not only inefficient but corrupted and corrupting and needs to be changed back to the way things were designed to be: No federal income tax. No direct election of Senators.

I’ve read some of the posts in response to this article, and I think too many miss the point.

RINO’s are the enemy within the enemy within. They are the stealth while the Democrats are quite visible enemies of our Constitution, our way of life.

Romney is a RINO. There is no way around the fact period. He’s a RINO, and he’s exactly what we as Conservatives have to eliminate from the foundation of the GOP. We have to make the GOP Constitution friendly, and the only way to do that is to break the hold on the party by the enemy within that is complicit with the Democrat direction.

Today Romney is the choice of the RINO King makers of the GOP the people’s choice be damned.

We have to knock Romney down from the GOP pedestal. Splatter his ass, and show the RINO’s we aren’t going to take their obstinance, their arrogance, their flippin’ the wee birdie in our faces anymore.

That is my position on this anyway, so flame away.

Is this accurate? I hadn’t heard. I mean, is it an “official” ban of open Romney supporters?

NO, I’m NOT a Romney supporter. I’m an ARDENT opponent. I’m also not a reactionary Conservative who hates Romney. He would be bad for the country — but, as bad as Obama?

I’m not trying to “tweak” anybody. I just wonder how “narrow” FR is going to define itself. And which candidate and his/her supporters might be banned next if this is the case?

Please — I ask that you think before you ban.

Respectfully,

Patriot Preacher
