The elitist, insiders and pundits will keep Perry in the top tier no matter what he polls because they are hoping he will blunt Cain and insure Romney the nomination. Romney being a NE Rockefeller Republican he will need some one to help him in the south and the west and that person I'm thinking is Perry.

Hey Amanda, we have yet to even have one primary election. Why not have a few primary elections before you start counting people out. Are we gonna have elections or are we gonna decide things on the basis of polls?
I sick and tired of these "journalists" and writers trying to write off candidates (any candidates) on the basis of polls that seem to be changing week to week. AND THIS INCLUDES SOME OF THE POSTERS ON FR. Preposterous.
Can't people see that they are using a Goebbels tactic? That is if you tell a lie long and enough and big enough then it becomes the truth in the minds of many. If enough people say and write that candidate A is out of the running it will be true and people will accept it, even without one primary election.

Perry isn’t even a top tier governor. He’s the hand me down dumber little brother of Bush who has been blessed with a lineup of political opponents in the state who are somehow even worse than he is. Perry is the Texas poster boy of the Peter Principle and the reality of that is finally being exposed in national, and now, even state polls.

Rasmussen has a Wisconsin poll out today where Perry is the only person who beats Obama head to head.
Perry is tied in Texas after supposedly being down by almost 20 in the last poll.
Perry is far from done.

Perry is head & shoulders above all the other candidates. He's proffered solutions, real solutions, to this nation's myriad of problems. He talks boldly and speaks truthfully. No ambiguity in what Rick Perry states. He alone has earned the right to grasp the baton from Reagan and lead America back to prominence amongst the world's nations.
Rick Perry: A do'er, not a talker!

until Perry starts to move the polls, which seems unlikely at this stage, he is not a top tier candidate...simple as that.

Perry is the pick of the Globalist elites more than any other candidate. The Globalist elites control the media, so the media will continue to call Perry a top tier candidate as long as they can do that without everyone laughing at them.
The people do not like Perry one bit.

That's not very kind. True, but not very kind.
People who want a RINO already have a more polished RINO in Mitt.
People who want a conservative already have the real deal in Herman Cain or even Michele Bachmann.
Perry is trying to sell himself as a RINO with a conservative wrapper. Huckabee was quite successful with that shtick. But there just ain't so much market for it anymore. All the dumb voters are sold on ObaMao. All the RINO's are sold on Mitt. The number of easily-fooled conservatives just aren't that many now.

What is it about Perry that has even his own electorate hesitating? To even ax this question, you have to be a HEARTLESS BASTARD, and probably would starve those poor chilrun of ILLEGAL ALIENS.

The people do not like Perry one bit. I just don't think that's true. A lot of people do like Perry. The media, talking heads, and trolls have done a lot of damage but most people I talk to still like Perry.
Like Perry a hell of a lot better than Romney which is where this "hate all the candidates, none of them are good enough" dialogue is going to get us.

No ambiguity in what Rick Perry states.
You're seriously pushing this line after the last week where Perry played word games over the birther issue and his campaign played games over the debates?
To: normy
The silly poll in texas was spin from an in state school, not done by professional posters. What is amazing is they did not have him winning. But you were one of the people leading the attack on Cain this morning for the perrywinkles.

After seeing Perry on Chris Wallace, I'm taking a second look; he left a better impression on Sunday at least to my way of thinking.
There's just something I'll never like about Romney; not religion like many would say, but I guess I don't trust his deep gut judgment the way most would with Reagen.
The fact he was once for gun control, that's a change I can't handle. Romney won't draw out the conservatives in overwhelming numbers like say Palin could have at one time.
