Great post and so true. And if there is any question you should hear how the other rat nets try and talk bad about FNC constantly. That alone should let you know who is who.

I listened again to Cain’s comment on the rock issue. He did not call Perry insensitive, he said only that the term was insensitive. When the full details of the story were relayed to him the day after, he thanked the Hannity for filling him in on the unreported details and reiterated what he had said before that the term itself was insensitive and he saw no foul by Perry. I would wager that his opinion of Perry was set before the rock snafu. Correct me if I am wrong but didn’t the heartless comment come before the rock?

The only hope I see, absent a crash of sorts,is a balanced budget act that requires Congress never to spend more than it takes in. There will be pain at first but down the road it will work and already works in many states.

You know, the GOP floated that 'Cut, Cap, and Balance proposal' which, if implemented with Cain's 9-9-9 plan, would require a trillion dollars in cuts from the next year's spending. That's pretty deep, and I don't believe for a moment that the GOP in Congress has the stones for cuts that deep. That means that Cain will have to provide the leadership, and I'd like to hear his proposals.

Actually that is a huge issue. It is why your calculations are so erroneous. You are using a static model. No serious economist does that.

Then lets see your model and your figures.

So okay, I’m on a roll....

I post, not too often but oncit I was on this Blog quite often, to a local board, I’ll not put the name here, if you want it, freepmail me. It’s no mind, just a Blog where local politics is discussed. It’s been around for quite a while and is read by all players of the local scene. This particular Blog states it is of a center-right mindset, and it is.

So someone turned this Blog in to the ADL...the anti-defamation league. Seems one of their posters included a link to some site about Hitler.

Forgive me for not having more details but my story will gel shortly.

So I’m reading the comments on this thread. The original post was put up by the owner of the Blog who felt the ADL was out of line, that it was a kind of squelching of freedom of speech. I’m wondering what the hell, this is an innocent little local Blog and maybe somebody put a link to something about Hitler but to earn the ire of the ADL? The Blog owner made the post to defend against the charge and state he was not going to get into the business of editing fellow posters except under specific and extreme circumstances and that the charge was folly.

It was the comment thread that totally shocked me. First, I read a comment to this effect. “And what about Pat Fish? How about her profanity?”

Well I am just floored but note I put up my real name as it’s hardly anybody’s secret on this thread.

Now folks, I do, from time-to-time, put a “damn” or a “hell” in a post but on this thread I know I can get nods across the fruited plains that I am hardly any big user of profanity.

But it doesn’t stop there.

The whole thread was a vicious....VICIOUS attack on Pat Fish. I mean just damn....I might post on that Blog maybe once a month though I do read it often.

But it wasn’t just Pat Fish. It was ALL of the Sussex heathans who dared to support Christine O’Donnell, who threw out the nothing-burgers in the Delaware GOP....really vicious attacks.

I suppose the attacks on me surprised me most but maybe because it was on me, heh. But I’ve never said an evil word to any of these people attacking me and further, well I know myself. I know I’m in no way any kind of bad person but here’s another comment...”Pat Fish, you ARE one big profanity”.

Of course I’m not perfect but still.....

The others who were attacked are also nice people, friendly, church-going. conservative, yes, and none of them liked Mike Castle. In fact the lady who put the link to the Hitler post, whatever that was about, is about one of the sweetest people in Delaware.

They also attacked the Blog owner, a local conservative black man who is a very good writer and just ran for a city council post in Dover.....and WON!

And get this...every one of these brutal attackers WERE ANONYMOUS!

How brave is this?

Now understand I am not kind to elite Blue Blood GOP’s and, I say modestly I know I have a sort of power of the pen, as it were.

My point being, with my story, is do not every think they will go away, do not think they will treat kindly the conservative base desperately trying to wrest control of their party, do not think this rebelling base will ever be treated with the kindness and respect given to those on the other side of the aisle.

I suppose a part of me should, I dunno, maybe be flattered that they lump me in with the “evil” ones but it was a complete surprise.

This story, and my story about the sheriff, is my update on the Blue Blood elite GOP and how determined they are.

I did. I showed you where your calculations ignore the payroll taxes.

I did my calculations with payroll taxes in 118 and 147. Let's see your calculations. If you have any.

I'm sorry but when you refuse to factually address the issue in order to cling to your emotion based opinions, there really is nothing we can discuss.

You have welded shut your mind to avoid factually addressing the issue. No one but you can open your mind to the facts that challenge your opinions. I have posted several things that challenge the assumptions you are basing your opinions on. Try actually addressing those and we can talk. Until then, quit wasting my time stating your opinions as facts.

‘Having Romney for four years is still a better choice then Obama.”

I agree. Here’s why. Let’s assume Romney=McCain=rino. Is there anyone here who is pleased that McCain lost? Anyone who thinks we’d be equally f***ed up today if he’d won? Not I.

It would take a lot to coax me and my husband back into the rat race of running a business and managing employees.

Since you did once run a business there is a question I'd like to ask you. When it comes to FICA, part is paid by the business and part comes out of the employee's paycheck as we all know. Did you consider the 7.65% that you paid for each of your employees an expense to you for doing business? Or a cost to the employee? If the FICA tax had been eliminated, would you have felt obligated to increase employee paychecks by the 7.65% you no longer paid on their behalf? Or would you consider those cost savings as belonging to the business and use them for other things - expansion, additional hiring, paying down debt, etc? Or would you have split the difference and both increased salaries and uses the savings for business purposes?

Especially when you have nothing to offer in rebuttal other than claiming I'm wrong.

No question the rinos have to go. Its just a matter of not losing power or the party as we get rid of them.

Again, you keep repeating the same fraudulent assumptions.

I have pointed out to you several areas where you are wrong. How about you actually address those facts rather then continue to cling to your "I'm right" postings? You are not. I have shown you where you are wrong. Address that.

All I have to do is think of who Obama appointed to the SC.That’s enough to scare the **** out of anyone. I prefer Newt but I will support anyone over Obama.

There is another tack that can be taken.

You act a if we are at the mercy of rinoism. IMHO, nothing could be further from the truth.

Sure they still have power in the RNC and have some dough they can spread it around but, when it comes to getting legislators elected,no one is more important than the base.

Our conservative base is the future of the party and its all shifting our way and they know it.They just don't want to admit it.

I say we start showing who we are and stop letting them be in charge. Lets start threatening them instead of sitting back.

As do you.

How about you actually address those facts rather then continue to cling to your "I'm right" postings?

I would if you would. But you claim the same old stuff over and over again. I take some of Cain's claims, try and do the math, and it isn't working out. I take other claims, try and find evidence of them working in the past and again, it isn't working out. And you don't offer any figures or any evidence of your own. But I think that, believe or not, we do have one area where we both agree. We both believe that the other one is full of crap and nothing we say is going to change their position.

But you'll forgive me if I keep trying to get something coherent out of other posters?

There is no better example of conservative power than COD Christine O'Donell vs. Karl Rove.He dared to blast her during an election and we have now seen the result. Rove has been all but neutralized ever since. Rinos remain an endangered species we just have to use the power that we have.

Make no mistake about it. We are the sleeping giant. We only need to wake up.

Obama is destroying this country on purpose. So quit bickering...

Hear! Hear!

The DNC and the MSM (but, I repeat myself) will zero in and try to pick each candidate off one at a time. Then they will work like hell to destroy the last one standing - even if it is a squish like Romney.

Our job is to beat 0bama and kick the Communists, radicals, and Liberals (but, I repeat myself again) out of power. Otherwise, America is cooked.

I was amazed at how he dissed Issa!

&&&&

Please don’t be amazed at any democrat’s vitriolic speech toward a Republican counterpart. They believe that any time they are not the majority in govt that their Enemy is the Thief who took their Chairman’s spot.

Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, are their friends, and persons to be admired, but Republican Chairmen of House or Senate committees (when that day comes) are enemies.
