Most Christians realize that Mormonism is not a Christian religion. Flame away.
I don’t hate Mormons. But they don’t have the same Jesus in mind when they say “Jesus.” Their Jesus is one of many exalted men.
You don’t think people’s religious beliefs impact other aspects of their lives besides where they attend religious services?

I don’t think that taking the theological position that Mormonism is not Christianity is equivalent to throwing an entire state under a bus.
I am a Christian; I don’t regard Mormons as Christians; but I will vote for Romney for President if he’s the nominee.
I just wouldn’t vote for him for pastor!

In Utah the vote was 94% for Romney, so it really is MOST will vote Romney because he is a mormon.
So? Go out there to any average evangelical or fundmentalist church and they’ll all tell you the same thing. Mormonism is not Christianity. And know what? It isn’t.
I realize some in the Mormon faith believe it is but that would be like Christians trying to say they are Jewish.
I can get along with Mormons and think they are nice people but I am not about to bow to a pressure to label their religion the same as my own when it is not.

Anyone else notice the sudden appearance of “....and I’m a Mormon” ads on TV in their media markets? You don’t suppose they have anything to do with trying to counter the perception of Mormons being “kinda strange”, do you? It’s that perception, whether right or wrong (I am personally a born again Christian and believe that Mormonism is a cult) that will take votes away from Mittens.
That being said. If Mittens is the nominee, I will hold my nose and vote for him against the current abomination in the White House. Mittens’ false religion doesn’t frighten me. Obammy’s policies do.

The doctrinal problem between Mormonism and Christianity is not that the LDS believe that Jesus is the only Redeemer. The problem is that Mormons don't believe that Jesus is the only God, and that there is only One God who exists.
Mormons believe that many gods exist and that Jesus is only one god amongst all of them (and not even the most important of them) which is a pagan system. How can you be Christian if you believe that there are many gods? Monotheism is a defining characteristic of Christianity.
I wish I could find one intelligent anti-Mormon activist. All the ones I see are like you and they don’t do justice to your cause.. whatever it is.
