Wow, 56 years old, to have accomplished so much and had so much influence on the course of humankind. It’s very humbling to see myself, just a few years behind this, and know how little I’ve done in comparison. I know we all have our own journeys but still... it just makes you think.

Mr. Jobs, I hope by God’s mercy you have found a peaceful eternity.

On the metro today, I silently noted all the smart phones, iPods, and tablet computers that were in the hands of other riders. These were Jobs’ innovations that arose from his vision of what computing ought to be. He fundamentally changed the way people communicate and interact with the world.

He was 56. His quick departure from The CEO chair and that photo from TMZ was all The evidence needed that this was near.

Prayers for his family. And maybe some for Apple. He was the company and now they ane going to have to grow into a new era.

As with most innovators, Jobs also stood on the shoulders of giants.

I have been debating between a Motorola Xoom and the iPad 2. I might just go with Apple. Rest in peace Mr. Jobs.

My sister got pancreatic cancer when she was in her early 50’s. Thank God they found she had a rare form that is actually curable with surgery. After a tennis-ball size tumor was removed, she’s fine. RIP Steve.

RIP Steve. You were a genius and will be missed not only by users of your Apple products but techies the world over. Rest well.

This was sent on one of his and Apple’s best products, the first generation iPad.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 is awesome, and you can root it and install custom ROMs.

You would not find this guy protesting on wall street, Ever. He knew how to work, wasn’t a cry baby liberal.

I doubt that picture was taken in 1975, most likely late 1976 or mid-1977. The Apple II was not created and sold until 1977. The Apple-1 was sold in 1976, and both Steves were’nt working on case prototypes for the Apple II until much later, shortly before it went on sale in 1977.

Not unexpected. Not even the best medicine money can buy can beat the Grim Reaper. I hope he made peace with his Maker before his breathed his last.

He will be remembered as a business legend. He built an industry, not just a company.

RIP

Wow, I grew up with Apple products, starting with a IIe, various Macs (including the MacBook I am writing this on), first-gen iPod and various other iPods. I just started learning Objective-C for iPhone, a direct offspring of his NeXT computer system.

Rest in Peace. Silicon Valley won’t quite be the same without him.
