You’ve been had...a few of us tried to tell you but you were too enamored to see it

Yea it was like watching the Deaniacs think he would win. At some point you just walk away from the cult.

Why would you support that socialist?

A gloat-free “I told you so”. She would have needed to announce by the summer if she wanted to really run and win. Sarah Palin made a wise decision, and I wish her and her family all the best and hope she continues to be a shining light of the GOP, conservative and Tea Party movements.

As Michelle Bachmann put it “The table is now set.”

No wonder CAIN is rising.

I think that will be worse than the gloating, people pestering Palin supporters about who they support now.

You said that so well. I speak as someone who has never gloated over a misstep by another FReeper's candidate or spammed their threads. Palin supporters need a little space right now. We are hurt, disappointed, angry, and sick to our stomachs with hearts hanging heavy for our nation. It would be a mistake in the poorest of taste to attempt to corner us at this very moment to rub salt in our wounds or to demand our support for someone else. Ask me next week. I am not in the mood to be charitable to anyone right now.

And for the next person that insists that I must support Romney should he be the nominee, please just shut up and do something to prevent that from happening. Lord knows I don't have the heart right now.

Well just damn.

I do love your choice of keywords, however!

Very disappointed. IMO, she was the leading conservative. Watching the debates so far, the rest of the candidates was like watching grass grow.

I don't think she will get a another opportunity like she had this time.

Time to move on.

“Perry/Palin still in play”

I’m worried now that if Palin is in the race even as the VP choice, her powerful detractors will eat on her and her girls like army ants.

Palin’s opposition — the establishment media and establishment elites — are perhaps the most powerful political group in America. Who’s her support base? A bunch of lowly voters.

People who are miserable today at this news: trust me, this was ordained the day she resigned the Alaskan governorship, and I was despondent the day that happened for this very reason.

A huge mistake. But. She has to live with it.

“Ok Palin fans - who do you support now?”

No one. Let this goddamn country go to hell.

Thats the great American spirit. LOSER! Get the hell off of FR if that's your attitude. DU will welcome trash like you with open arms.

She had over two years after she quit to enhance her slim credentials and did absolutely nothing in that area. Writing books, reality TV, talking head gigs, FB notes, tweets and speaking engagements do nothing to build up the skills and knowledge of global real-politik that the job requires. She chased the dollar instead. She will not suddenly become a serious person about this.

I'm with you. Palin has taken these people for a ride. "Flim Flam Man 2" and they refuse to see it for what it was.

No one should be gloating. Well, I might be feeling a little vindicated tonight especially when conversing with some of the more obnoxious (to me) Palin supporters but I won’t be posting any “ha-ha” type posts and I hope that my fellow conservatives keep it classy.

Cain, of course. Cain, Bachmann and Santorem are the only true conservatives now in the game.

Romney and Perry are RINOs. Real conservatives will not vote for them. Hence, they are unelectable.
