Just as a note of caution for all those jumping on the Cain train...

One could argue Palin was heavily vetted. Cain hasn't been.

And now that he is a viable threat to Romney, Mitt will send out his thugs to start doing the dirty work to take out Cain. I like Cain alot, but he has not been scrutinized before because he wasn't taken seriously. It's about to get ugly for Mr. Cain.

Hate to say “I told ya so”...but shoot, why not, cuz I have said so for months. (Not specifically to you BigB...just around the boards here)

Sorry. I really hate to be proven right in this case. I actually wished she would have ran. She would have made everyone better and on top of their game. She had so much potential. She could have been President. It was her office after the last election.

Then she blew it.

If she would have only stayed in as Governor. If she would have admitted that she made a mistake in writing and pushing the stupid “ethics law”; and instead of quitting to write a book and be a commentator and paid speech giver; worked to change the law that untimately drove her out of office.

If she had only chosen service to the country over fame and fortune. But, man, it is HARD to say “no thanks” to money and fame!

And now....her fame and fortune is going to go down the toilet.

If Sarah Palin endorses Romney I'd be physically sick.

One can't espouse the Conservative cause, endorse a luke warm moderate like Romney and expect to be taken seriously ever again.

If she endorses Cain before the election the result will be electric. Can't see anything else she can do that will help advance Conservatism.

He was the obvious first choice after her- and apparently his message is gaining credibility after a slow start. As the field narrows- he is coming on..

Palin will wield incredible power in the upcoming election. More so on the outside than on the inside.

Ronald Reagan spoke eloquently for Barry Goldwater in 1964.

That summer I went to New York with Young Americans for Freedom to draft Goldwater.

The Sharon Statement (1960) composed by William F. Buckley was swept aside by the propaganda of Church Lady Bill Moyers' daisy-petal-plucking girl.

Sarah has earnestly led our individual-based patriotic return to Constitutional principles, to God's Natural Law.

The Lucifer's Butt-buddy Media (LBM) happily tied her to a post and shot her full of arrows and she still commands the field.

We will select a victorious candidate to defeat Romney and Obama, the enemies of our principles.

Whether it will be Rick Perry or Herman Cain or another, we will decide--not the party establishment and media.

I will invoke the Buckley rule Rush refers to, eschew Mitt and the Hidden Imam of Chicago.

It's not the sun going down on the city on the hill.

It's a ballistic missile on re-entry.

“Beyond tired of quitters and whiners.

We need all hands on deck to send the Kenyan home, once and for all.”

Hear, hear. The battle is joined and we must stand our ground. These are historic times and everyone one of us is a player on the stage.

What is deeply disappointing is the fact that so many of our “leaders” are afraid/unwilling to take the fight to the magic kenyan, defeat him and clean up the mess.

I am so sorry. This is exactly how I felt when I heard that she quit as Governor. I had pinned my hopes on her. It is a shame. A crying shame.

I am really disappointed by this but I’m onto Herman Cain now.
I guess that family considerations trumped all else. When I think about the hassle of being pres I get it but I thought she had that fire in the belly. I’m not going on suicide watch but this is a real kick.

LOL

Yes, it’s all a big conspiracy. I’ve been on the receiving end of your personal attacks for pointing out facts about Palin, and now you’re hinting at some nefarious plot.

She quit once, and she just quit again. She’s a quitter.

She just became “Sarah who?”

Not to me. I still like her, and I like how she contributed to the conversation. She will be remembered.

You are repeating like a parrot. Cain and Santorum are my alternate choices. I will never under any circumstances vote for Perry,Huntsman,Johnson,Bachman or Squirrely man Paul. You are pushing for your candidate, and it will not happen. Conservatives vote in primaries and it will be Cain.

Palin raised taxes on American oil companies in Alaska.

Is raising taxes on Big Oil now a conservative position?

I’m not so sure I’d want to be President of this nation right now anyway!

I have some very smart friends who do want Obama to be re-elected for this reason: they do not believe anyone can stop the impending financial collapse of the country. Best it happen while a Dem is in the WH. Otherwise, the Repub would be blamed regardless of culpability.

Myself, I prefer to hope for the best.
