Oh but wait, many freepers love Perry and act like Liberal Democrats and refuse to face the truth. Please don’t challenge their world view, they’ll act like democrats who still like Obama, he’s they’re guy and truth ain’t a gonna get in the way ...
Do you have a link to those stats?
Face it, Bachmann jumped the shark.
It may be the most important issue in the Gardusil fiasco, but it's NOT the only issue about Perry that worries many of us. With the Trans Texas Corridor, we see the same determination to override the will of the people for his own and his cronies' personal gain. If anything, the TTC is an even more outrageous abuse of power.
Then there's in-state tuition for illegals, and I begin to see a pattern that tells me Perry is Slick Willie on steroids. But because he mouths the right conservative-sounding blather, the Perristas are willing to overlook his "mistakes." You say, He did it, owned it and has admitted it was a mistake. So have many murderers, bank robbers, embezzlers, and rapists. But we don't say, "Oh well then, we'll put all that behind us" and then elect them to a high public office.
You think they are kissing?
I live in Virginia and have a 13 year old daughter. I know exactly what the mandate here is.
The mandate was for girls entering 6th grade. Well my daughter is in 8th grade and has not gotten the vaccine. The opt out is very simple.
Perry’s Fault.
I don’t know why you’re jumping on me - I’m not a Perry supporter. If you read the rest of my post I stated I support Herman Cain.
However, I was only discussing the Gardisil issue, nothing else - as that is all this thread is about.
Wait, that many women died from HPV? Holy cow!
Oh.... You meant polio.
How many women have died from HPV or ended up crippled.
If your going to compare apples to apples then do it. Otherwise your argument is a fallacious one.
You need statistics for women who catch HPV from their adulterous husbands or husbands who caught it in their own past?! That doesn’t require statistics, it requires common sense.
Sorry. You seemed to be defending Perry. I like Cain too, and would happily vote for him. I would not happily vote for Perry.
I wasn’t defending Perry, except insofar as many of the comments were going over the top and actually out of the realm of reality on this issue, and this issue only.
I have all the sames concerns as you listed about Perry, and just like McCain, would not happily vote for him.
I would like to see Cain more prominent, but it seems most are falling into the media, DNC, and RNC establishment trap and are only focusing on Perry and Romney. Which is why I pretty much stay out of the candidate arguments. The Gardasil issue, however, is one I was involved with before it became an issue (to some people) in this race.
Thats not a valid question or comparison. HPV is NOT contagious as polio is. And dont come back to me with some bogus statistics. Ive understood the vaccination debate for now over 50 years. Im over the age of 60 and had polio in 1950. Ive watched as others have tried to make the but there have been mandatory vaccinations for years argument and its getting really old and shows the ignorance of the person making the argument. You can try to make it as graphic as you want attempting to make it emotional but it doesnt work with those of us who know.
Since there was an Opt Out clause, the "facts" you supplied to form this issue is nothing but manufactured untruths which makes your issue a non-issue. Michele Bachmann is already learning that today. The hard way.
well I’ve got one daughter who passed out, vomitted, and had a seizure.
Really! Perhaps you should do a little research on aspirin before your credibility goes down the toilet like Michele Bachmann's.
*Children should never take aspirin, as aspirin use in children has been linked to Reye syndrome, which is deadly. With Reye's syndrome, fat builds up on the brain, liver and other organs of the body.
*If aspirin is taken during the last few months of pregnancy, it can harm the fetus.
*Cerebral hemorrhage can occur taking aspirin if you are on blood thinners.
None of the above examples are related to "overdose" of aspirin.
Another interesting fact: Approximately 5.5 million new HPV transmissions occur in the United States every year.
And lastly, the Perry executive order had an Opt Out clause so there was no chance of forced vaccinations.
Observation: Evidently Perry's got a very threatening record on economics to be discussing the dangers of aspirin as an issue to somehow get his poll numbers below those of Romney. Sounds to me like some people have their magical diapers on a little too tight, if you ask me.
She sure did. It's time for Bachmann to step down and make room for Sarah Palin who should have been the one up there in the first place.
