Bears (Steven Fromholz)
Some folks say there ain’t no bears in Arkansas
Some folks never seen a bear at all
Some folks say that bears go around eating babies raw
Some folks got a bear across the hall
Some folks say that bears go around smelling bad
Others say that a bear is honey sweet
Some folks say this bear’s the best I ever had
Some folks got a bear beneath their feet
Some folks drive the bears out of the wilderness
Some to see a bear would pay a fee
Me I just bear up to my bewildered best
And some folks even see the bear in me
So meet a bear and take him out to lunch with you
And even though your friends may stop and stare
Just remember that’s a bear there in the bunch with you
And they just don’t come no better than a bear
They went looking for bears and found them. Sometimes the bear wins, not often, but sometimes.
No pity for the bear hunters here.
The object to to have them die days later, miles away. The smaller calibers are better for that.
This hunter is at least the third person killed in the two state area by Grizzlies. More remains will probably be found in remote areas.
Grizzlies are potentially a very dangerous predator, which due to the Bambi lovers, a branch of the green eco terroist, has been made a sacred/wonderful animal.
If you kill one, you can go to jail and get a big fine.
It doesn’t matter if the griz is killing your cattle, sheep or dogs or trying to kill members of your family or hunting party.
Thanks to the Bambi whackos, your life is not as important as their beloved Grizzlies.
How do you get the gutshot bear to turn and run?
Wild animals are so much more appealing when they are on someone else's property.
So you were. Sorry I misunderstood. That’s what I get for commenting while my setter is barking. We’ve got painters outside and they are driving him nuts.
“Then, the family of the victim should sue every fish and game person and the enviro whackos who set up this attack.
This is the part I don’t get. They were hunting the bears. How did the statists set up the attack? I am with you as far as the eco-statists treating bears as better than people and their property, and punishing them for killing dangerous animals.

Just asking. Is it now legal to hunt griz? Or were they hunting black bears, and the griz came into the picture?
no problem
I don’t believe it is legal to hunt griz in the Lower 48 so they were probably hunting black bears. That area has a high concentration of black bears and one less griz.
They were hunting brown/black bears not Grizzly bears. Brown/black bears have been legal game in that area forever. These smaller bears are basically on the level of large 4 legged pests.
Thanks to the Eco-Statists, (like that term) a dangerous grizzly was in the area. The dangerous and protected grizzly took out a hunter.
If a Grizzly is coming for you, you do not want to wound it in the guts. You want to shoot it in the head or spine and keep on shooting until goes down.
If you sneak up on the grizzly and shoot it in the guts from 200yds, well then that’s not really hunting now is it...?
Do you just wonder if ALL the PETA folks are city dwellers who only see grizzlies on the Nature Channel and in bookies? Surely the guy from Malibu who SANG to the grizzlies and was eaten for his troubles (singing for THEIR supper, as it were) was a City Guy.
The people passing and supporting these rediculous laws should be brough up on criminal and civil charges. The laws would change back to sanity myuch more quickly if they were.
God rest this man and God comfort his family and fiends.
Dave, make sure your friend has a .44 mag handgun along with him as a sidearm to protect himself against bears or any other danger. That's what I use to do anytime I was up in the hills around here and it is good advise.
Thanks! The article was unclear on that, no doubt on purpose. I thought there might be something I was missing.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit. They also seem to have a propensity to take off their clothes, supposedly in support of their cause. It's all too bizarre.
