There are a LARGE number of ‘em in CA.
T-Bone needs his ass KICKENED!!!
Nope, I’m in AZ near Tucson.
Thank you.
Does the link state the type of attack?
A misprint on my part. Does Microsoft know whether or not it was an attack or simply power down?
Chula Vista is back online at 10 pm. Thanks for the thread.
I'm in East Tennessee and have my own very abundant private water supply. Last thing I want or need is government telling me how I can use it. Fed's done cut my land in half and regulates a portion of it as it is now. I have a 180K transmission line in my back yard. Which is OK with me. How they went about it wasn't though. I didn't mind selling R.O.W. for it but I hate liars and cheats who try to buy one thing and take quite another :>}
I appreciate your reply and am considerate of your sentiment.
The LAST thing we need is MORE governmnent regulation.
What is needed is an administration that can navigate its way through the maze of regulations that exist, and issue orders of enforcement.
I’m not interested in being able to clamp down on your ass. I believe that water is ONE of the elephants in the room. If that were not so, then Klamath Basin would not have been an issue.
I believe that the U.S. of A. needs to address the issues concerning water on a national level NOW.
I don’t know; talk to any CA civil engineer and enquire whether the state of disrepair is greater in the electrical or water systems (or not).
Understand. In my current windows format I do not ever download and read pdf files on this computer. Read them later on a lap top. Lots of nasty stuff was coming through that Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Currently have something embedded have been trying to rid machine of, though what is embedded is remaining embedded. Receive reviews, every so often, telling me the partial location. Tracking but as of present, unresolved. Seems to be at a flash player location.
I am pretty sure that plan fell through. Thank goodness.
That was my thought. The solar flares are beginning.
I'd not be suprised if CA could find a USSoTUSA finding where TX could insinuate4 their wires throughout AX and into CA to supply CA's NEED. I bet TX don't need AZ neither.
You’re welcome. :)
I am at a loss. Anyone?
From Arizona Power(??)
September 8, 2011
PHOENIX At approximately 3:30 pm today, the North Gila Hassayampa 500 kV transmission line near Yuma, Ariz., tripped off line resulting in a major power outage across southwest Arizona and into Southern California. Among APS customers, approximately 56,000 lost service throughout Yuma, Somerton, San Luis and Gadsden. APS is in the process of restoring service to customers in these communities.
The outage appears to be related to a procedure an APS employee was carrying out in the North Gila substation, which is located northeast of Yuma. Operating and protection protocols typically would have isolated the resulting outage to the Yuma area. The reason that did not occur in this case will be the focal point of the investigation into the event, which already is under way.
We are working hard to restore our customers as quickly and safely as possible, said APS President and Chief Operating Officer Don Robinson. We take great pride in our hard-earned reputation for safe and reliable service, and we will work hard to identify the cause.
APS is Arizonas largest and longest serving electric utility and serves more than 1.1 million customers in 11 of the states 15 counties. With headquarters in Phoenix, APS is the principal subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital Corp. (NYSE: PNW)
