Why?

Indeed, why?

Stay just as you are. You are always amusing to read.

Trust me, I could be saying so much more. If they only knew but I remain silent to protect the innocent.

From Wikipedia;

Until 2011, Perry persistently denied aspirations to higher office; he was originally included on the 2012 Presidential Straw Poll ballot at the Values Voter Summit in September 2009, but his name was removed at his own request.[187] In April 2008 while appearing as a guest on CNBC’s Kudlow & Company, he specifically stated that he would not agree to serve as Vice President in a McCain administration, stating that he already had “the best job in the world” as governor of Texas. Further, during a Republican gubernatorial debate in January 2010, when asked if he would commit to serving out his term if re-elected, he replied that “the place hasn’t been made yet” where he would rather serve than the governor of Texas. In December 2010, when asked if he was a “definite maybe” to run for President in 2012, he replied, “a definite no, brother”.[188]

I will admit that I was "wrong" when I said that she said it.

That's mighty white of you, now get down off your high horse, Sarah doesn't owe you an explanation for anything.

And I don't owe her my vote.

I think she's running an innovative tactical and strategic guerrilla campaign which is keeping her enemies off-balance. There's no guarantee it'll work, of course, then again, it's her choice. And of course, she may not run.

I think you're thinking pretty well, or you've been out fishing with Sarah occasionally.

Sarah would not (given what she has learned in the past three years) consider running a traditional campaign. It would be unending media set ups to knock her down, and that is why the media and Palin haters on this thread are so livid. She won't tell them where and when to set their traps or what kind of bait to use to catch her.

While they fret and rage, Sarah Heath shows up at some regular American public event and wins over most everybody there to her side and values. She certainly wouldn't get a lick of positive press by doing an interview, and the PDSers can't make her. Oh the huge manatee.

Perry is not significantly different than Romney, McCain, Dole, or W.

If this is how Palin's supporters are now what happens when she doesn't run?

I suspect there will be some suicides.

It is pretty clear that there is a Sarah Palin cult of personality here. She's more of a Rock Star than a political figure. She can do no wrong in their eyes. They ignore all the negative news and only believe in the positive news.

Kinda reminds me of the Religion forum.

The longer she delays announcing her candidacy, the longer she keeps the ruling-class RINOs, state-controlled media, DemocRAT and Republican opponents, etc. in complete and total disarray.

This line very well explains what's happening as I type. Your whole post (#28) is a keeper. Thanks for posting it, it's excellent.

I have to laugh at the thought of Dem-tards and their cronies pouring through all of Perry's and Romney's emails now, etc. looking for dirt ('cause you know they are). In hunting parlance, that's like putting a salt-lick in the middle of a field within direct view from your tree-stand.

None of the aforementioned fools you mentioned (dems, RINOs, etc.) has any clue that Sarah is 'hunting' them as a mama grizzly would to put food on the table for her cubs. Her cubs? The Tea Party and any others disgusted with big government. Yet, they are reaching that age where they're about to go out on their own, so whatever is left to teach them will come from Sarah, and should happen soon.

We'll soon be seeing young grizzlies appearing all over the lower 48 in every political contest which- is giving the Left fits. This is what they fear, and they should, because change is coming to America and it means their gravy train is about to hit a wall. Of course, they'll never understand how bankrupting a country could have led to this, because they are stupid. Thank God much (if not most) of America isn't.

I'm poised to roll some cash to SarahPAC if she decides to get into the race. Because I'm among those who still pay an income tax, I count myself among the majority- for now, at least. I look at it as an investment in some children's and grandchildren's future.

For those losing patience, I can only ask that you consider how big the 'game' being hunted is, and understand the importance of success. As has been said before, "Failure is not an option." I look forward to next year and the collecting of many tags. "What's in your wallet?", should become, "What's hanging on your wall?" by that time.

LOL

If any view that differs from "orthodoxy" is going to be met with derisive comments opinions will not be swayed. In fact the reverse occurs.

I like a great deal about Gov. Palin. I think up until she resigned as Gov. she would be my number one pick if she were running. However, because she resigned I don't believe she can win and I think she has seen polling showing this to be true.

Americans don't support quitters. We love those who persevere.

Great analysis.

There is so much about her that is great. I think she is right on the issues and I admire the life she has lived not only talking the talk, but walking it. I think the one misstep she has made was resigning. It's not fair considering the unreasonable legal persecution she was suffering under, but it's an Achilles heel.

It seems there are a lot of Freepers who cannot grasp the idea that someone can love and admire Sarah Palin and still not endorse her for the Republican Presidential Nominee.

I will love her even more when she decides not to seek the nomination. I wish she would hurry up. ;-)

I agree. I think the fervor of the Palinistas may work against the eventual nominee. It seems we are in a period where a candidate must be perfect, which will only serve to help the Rats. They will vote for anybody that supports big govt.

And xzins, your attempts to get P-Marlowe off the hook with: August/September is what she says in the video link. That fits with both “late summer” and with “late august/early september.” is simply incorrect. It does ot "fit". Early September is not equivalent to the whole month of September. P-Marlow has blustered his way through the discussion berating others and insisting Palin said early September. She did not - AP said it. What remains to be seen is if he's honest enough to admit he was wrong.

Since summer begins about 21 Jun and ends about 21 September, there is no denying that August/Semtember is late summer. June 21-July 21 would be early summer; July 22-Aug 21 would be mid-summer; and Aug 22-September 21 would be late summer.

Also, if you tell me you'll complete my building project in August/September, I would expect early September since YOU brought up August as a a "beginning of the end" point.

Sarah Palin used the word "legally" in her interview. That suggested to me anyway that there was a legal reason August/September was important to her. I don't know. I'm no lawyer.

Perhaps newspapers, though, do know what she's talking about when she says "legally". Maybe that's why they interpreted her to mean mid-September or earlier.

So, I'm going to stand by my comments even though P-Marlowe has changed his comment somewhat. First, late summer is Aug 22-Sep 21 and that frame does include "late Aug-early Sept". Second, and I pointed this out in my earlier post, "legally" is a modifier that still leaves this discussion somewhat open with regard to how others might understand what she "meant."

As the one poster in this discussion who would not vote for her in the primaries I don't get what the big deal is about. PM didn't lie and in so far as he was wrong he corrected that.

Right now the race is between Perry and Romney. We will have a good idea next year if any of the other candidates are going to move up into that group.
